Think it goes without saying, but this is a massive game for us. At the very least, we need to be turning in a far better performance than what we've turned in the past 4/5 games. Personally, McGlynn needs to make a few changes because there are players in his preferred XI who aren't cutting the mustard, and the 4-2-3-1 formation is doomed playing long-ball. I'd like to see Robertson, Hippo and Mullen all make a start, freshen things up a bit.

Saying that, I can't envisage anything changing. We can't score to save ourselves. 2-0 Falkirk, FG 38 mins.

    We have to score. Simple.

Will we? I honestly can't see it.

I wouldn't mind seeing us revert back to 3-5-2 which looked really decent against Rangers initially. Fordyce Sives and Talbot as the 3, O'Brien playing in front of them with Rutherford and Kyle Jacobs on either side. Glen, Keaghan Jacobs (if fit) and Praprotnik* as the other three midfielders, with Hippolyte** and White as the two strikers.

    * I openly admit to not getting it with this guy. He gets absolutely zero gave time, yet is good enough to be on the bench each week. He must be utter gash in training. On the very rare occasions that I've seen him, he looks like he has a lovely touch. Must be worth a shot though, surely.

** I'm still not convinced on Hippolyte having merit as a starter, but the front line needs freshened up. It's either Hippolyte on Ogleby, and I still say he looks dreadful.

    I'll say 1-1, fgs 32 mins.

Have to say had forgotten about Praprotnik shame on me , so you may well be correct.

I would have the Hippo before Ogleby on the park not sure about up front as would probably go with White and Mullen.

Ogleby wouldn't even be on my bench as he is just terrible.

352 May well be on the agenda and I feel White will score against his old club as that is what usually happens in football. Just like Jimmy v us recently.

fg 6mins dammed if I know the score so 2-1 Livi

I think we played a 3-5-2 for the second half last night, with McKenna and Rutherford as the wing backs.

Copied from what I posted on P&B:

Would be nice if we didn't just hoof the ball up the park and try to get the ball down and pass it on the deck as that's when we actually look like doing something.

    Jamieson
    Ky.Jacobs - Fordyce - Talbot - Rutherford
    O'Brien
    Robertson - Ke.Jacobs*
    Glen
    Mullen - White

*If he's injured then I wouldn't mind seeing Praprotnik/Beaumont in there, or play Kyle at CM and Moffat at RB.

Something different from our usual formation which doesn't seem to have been working for us recently. Not sure what other options we have at CB until Mensing and Gallagher are back, Fordyce and Sives don't fill me with confidence. Wouldn't even mind seeing guys like Moffat, Praprotnik or Beaumont getting a game, will be a good change seeing other guys getting a chance.

Expecting McGlynn to stick with the 4-2-3-1 and hoofball though. 2-0 Falkirk, FG 23 mins

    Looks good to me.

We have started games no bad but if we don't score then I fear we'll start punting the ball up the park and Falkirk will get control of the game and once they score it will be all over. They normally pass it about well but I read in the QoS thread that they had nothing in the final third, sounds like us just now, without the passing it about well part.

    3-0 Falkirk, FG 39 mins.

Please, please let me be wrong and we get a goal and something from this game.

If McGlynn had a clue about his squad then I'd go with:

    DJ

    Moffat Ky Jacobs Talbot Rutherford

    O'Brien
    Robertson Beumont
    Glen

    Hippolyte White

I haven't picked Keaghan on the basis that he's now out injured following Saturday. However, I don't see McGlynn ever picking this side.

Assuming Robertson and Beaumont are playing more of a wider role, then aye. I'd say you've got this spot on. As you've said though, no chance og this happening. I'd expect to see the same disorganised 11 that we've been used to for the past 6 weeks or so.

I don't think dismantling the whole team is the problem, it's the tactics. You could have Iniesta, Xavi, Messi and Ronaldo in our team and we'd still not score if we kept hitting long balls over their heads up to the opposition keeper.

Looking at the table, a win by 2 goals will see us jump up to 6th, it's a shame that's highly unlikely though. Shows how tight the league is.

The tactics have been far from pleasing but man for man, some just haven't been cutting the mustard when required.

Sives, Fordyce and McKenna should be dropped because of their form in the last six games. A CB pairing who have conceded as many as they have would be dropped in any other team. You could say DJ should be dropped for playing his part but his saves have kept the scores respectable. Although I praised McKenna at the start, it's becoming more obvious that he was plucked from the Junior leagues. Obviously he'll gain experience as time goes by but for now he needs to understand that he can't continue starting games and putting in inconsistent performances.

There's a fire station near the ground, drive past that. Head left, first exit on roundabout I think, and there is street parking. It's right across road from main entrance to the ground, pretty much. I always park there.

Last time I drove to TFS, I turned up at the supporters car park just after 3 o'clock but didn't pay anything. The stewards saw us and everything but there was nobody taking money. Probably fairly unlikely this'll happen again though. Finished 5-2 to Livingston that day. Bobby Barr and Iain Russell ran the show, scored 3 goals between them, by far Barr's best performance in a Livi shirt. That was a great performance back then, by a good Livi side.

Probably best to park at Forth Valley College, about 5 minutes down the road and free.

You're a hard hard cunt going to this though, especially when there's gale force winds and Champo League on telly. I honestly can't be fucked leaving Livingston to watch this lot at the best of times.

Think the Helix park across the road at the roundabout lets football supporters park there too.

Can't remember seeing Moffat play but think I read he did ok in pre season same as Rutherford so may be a better choice at RB if that's his natural position. Would keep either Dycey or Sives alongside Talbot at CB though and move Kyle up into midfield instead of Beumont, Kyle has scored from distance before and we need all the options we can to try and get a goal. Robertson is a good shout too as he's scored a couple earlier in the season.

Just get the ball on the deck though and pass it through midfield, Robertson, White and Glen all play good passing football through the final third when given the chance and with Hippo there I'm sure we'd get shots on goal. O'Brien can pick out a pass into the box too so get further up the pitch with the ball and give our players the chance to get at Falkirks goal instead of the lng ball pish.

I think we're good enough to beat teams outside the top 4 if we play the right way, we did so earlier in the season.

When we played the ball down the left with Talbot attacking and playing one-twos we looked good.

We need to get back to some of the old fashioned football.

2 wingers, 2 fullbacks, crosses from the bye line into the strikers. We need pacey players out there doing that.

With this in mind, I'd play the following team.

    Jamieson

    Fordyce  Ky Jacobs  Sives  Talbot

    Mullen  O'Brien  Praprotnik  Hippo

    White  Glen

    Bench

    Walker
    Rutherford
    Praprotnik
    Beaumont
    McKenna
    Ogelby
    Moffat

I'm assuming Keighan is injured and I pray that Burchill is not started again. He is too slow and was a passenger at times in the 1st half. McKenna has lost his confidence and spent more time checking back than running at the full back. Our issues on Saturday were giving the ball away and the wingers disappearing.

Ogelby looked big and slow, Fordyce looked more comfortable at fullback and I don't think one player could hold their heads up at the weekend and I hope they get a kick up the bahookey for tonight.

    Prediction.

    3-0 to Falkirk Sad
