Reserve League

Kicked off tonight with a 2-1 defeat to Ayr, with Matthew Knox scoring our goal.

Not a league game but a 7-3 win for our reserve side tonight in a friendly against Livingston United. Jack Hamilton and Jamie Docherty both got a hat trick each, and Sean McManus got our other goal.

No idea if Jason Gregory, on loan at Utd from us, was playing though.

Rattled Stirling Albion 7-1 tonight. Was 6-1 at half time.

Team: Stewart; Saunders, McMillan, Thomson; Kaja, Blues, Crane, Pagnatiello, Clark; Knox, Hamilton

Very good. Good that the guys who don’t get 1st team starts are getting game time too

Another thumping tonight. Won 9-0 against Berwick Rangers.

No idea about the scorers, but the team was: Pettigrew, McMillan, Crane, Saunders, Thomson, Blues, Kaja, Lawson, Hamilton, Knox, Burns.

Subs: Kinvig, Clark, Watson, Rintoul, Henderson.

That side could challenge got the championship.... errrr.... championship.

3rd goal was a stoater. Their keeper had a mare for 3 or 4 of them and looked broken by then end.

Nice of our lads to stop celebrating after 4 or 5.

Going by those highlights the Berwick lads actually played some decent stuff but couldn’t defend or finish.

Won 3-2. Jack Hamilton, Cameron Blues, and a late Nicky Cadden penalty.

I see the lights went our again, luckily they came back on again and we got the game finished. Reserves are doing as good as our first team, good mix of players in there.

2-0 win away to raif tonight, Sibbald and Pigniatello with the goals.

Top of the league now, good stuff.

Ah but Albion Res could take top spot if they win their game in hand Against Airdrieonians Res by 16 clear goals.

That being said all their games thus far have been won or lost by a solitary goal.

Good finish by Sibbs for the first, and a good assist from him for the second too, clever pass and a tidy finish.

Why is it a different coloured kit from the 1st team?

Is it no last season's kit with the sponsor blanked out?

Yeah intelligent play from Sibbald, and a good strike, he'll def bring something special to our attacking play. Can't wait for Him and Hardie to be both playing.

Naw... last season we were still all black. Might be the second choice kit but still doesnt explain why they are wearing a different coloured kit to the 1st team

Actually I remember him; he came on against us when Airdrieoneans were still Airdrie United when he came on as the youngest ever player to represent a Scottish League side at just 14 years and 189 days. It was quite bizarre actually; he was about the only member of the team actually trying.

He signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2014 but never played a competitive game for them - he's still only 19.

Good composure from Allan for those goals. Didn't really see anything from Schaik with him being a defender but hopefully ends up being good enough to take Saunders' place on the bench.
