Aye looks like Falkirk will be going part time next season, being stuck in League One. How the mighty have fallen.

Pity McMillan left, excellent utility player for us, being able to play to a high standard in various positions, could do with him now Devlin is leaving.

Still all to play for in the Premiership's bottom two battle, with Utd sitting bottom now, and St Johnstone only 2pts clear of the play offs. The winner of Ayr v Partick will be in the final awaiting whoever finishes bottom in 3 games time.

    Whoever finishes second bottom…

    Also…
Spartans 1 Albion Rovers 1 - 2nd leg at Coatbridge next Saturday

Big turn around for Accies today, they were 2 down (3-0 on agg) albeit Alloa were down to 10 men before scoring their second, but they turned it around big style.

Who are we backing in the play off semi final on Friday then, the Partick Th ex Livi V, or Josh Mullin's Ayr Utd?

I’d like to see Ayr come up if only because it’s been years since they were in the top flight; that said I don’t think their ground is not up to standard in terms of seat numbers

The rules all changed when Sevco came up through the leagues and it went from SPL & SFL, to SPFL, Their ground is a bit of a dump, but is fine for the Premiership nowadays.

Annan making good with their home advantage in the first leg.

Seems a bit weird that the rules would change when they were still playing at Greyskull. I could understand it if they’d been forced to start from scratch at a wee ground (imagine how funny that would have been) in the sense that they league would be doing everything they could to get them back up.

Think it was more to do with clubs having more power to change things when Rangers went into liquidation, and it was only Celtic left in the Premiership, when it was both erse cheeks, between them they carried more power in votes. Still didn't do enough when they had that window of opportunity to make big changes though, some like Aberdeen let greed get in the way of doing the right thing. They could really have made things a lot fairer distributing prize money and even changing the league formats, increasing the size of the top flight etc.

Looks like Plastic whistle heading into the final, Ayr without Akinyemi were toothless, he'll be back for the 2nd leg but it's a big lead for Partick.

Another one of the SPFL clubs with a crappy stadium and set up biting the dust, that's the 2 worst outfits with piss poor facilities out of the SPFL, Cowden and Albion Rovers.

Bit of a massacre in last night's game, where Partick ran out easy winners.

Ref didn't help sending off Akinyemi for retaliating to being held in an arm lock, then an arm round his neck, and the Thistle player throwing himself down and rolling about like he'd been hit by a brick in the coupon, played for it and got Akinyemi red carded. Ref was a donkey not giving a foul to Akinyemi in the first place while he was being fouled several times, then for just not giving both players a yellow and getting on with the game, totally ruined the game as a spectacle with his unnecessary red card. Was always going to be an unlikely turnaround for Ayr, but any chance they had went out of the window with that incompetent Ref's red card.

Partick have had a pretty easy ride to the final, both opponents have had shockingly bad defences, and Partick have fully taken advantage with good attacking play. Should be a lot tougher for them in the final, prob against County, can't imagine the Premiership's defenders will be anywhere near as bad, allowing unmarked Thistle players to stand about waiting for tap ins.

Bit shite it wont be on the bbc live, all play off games so far have been but just going to be the highlights for the final, or watching it on a dodgy stream to avoid being fleeced paying for it.

Yeh,agree about the TV coverage. An absolute disgrace. Why show all the previous games then pull out of the final.Shambles.But its Scottish football so no surprise there. Agreed that it was a foregone conclusion when Thistle got the early goal and the dodgy sending off didn't help either. Don't think it would have affected the outcome but yeh spoilt the game as any sort of competition.FWIW I reckon if Thistle are fit enough they will give whoever they get one helluva game. But as usual the odds are stacked heavily in favour of the Premier side.We did it 5 years ago and had momentum going into these,as have Thistle have.Would love to see the ex Livi boys do it,if only for sentimental reasons.Great support also and I for one give them a fighting chance.Shame we won't see it.Crying or Very sad.

Thistle have been in very good form going into the play offs though, momentum is important in these games as we saw when we came up. Good to see that Livi have contributed to the success of Airdrie and  Thistle, albeit Thistle aren’t up yet… I reckon they could beat Killie over two legs, not sure if I’d say the same if they play County.

Always delighted when a “non-league team” comes up at the expense of a long standing under achiever.

Yeh,totally agree Nick.Thistle have the momentum we had back then.Put into context,an away day at Killie as opposed to a trip back up to the Highlands, Mallard etc.We know what most Livi fans would plump for.Livi are safe, gonna be interesting tomorrow. Thistle have it in there own hands.Do it.🔥.
