Alloa v Queens

Just remembered there are games on today... And Alloa are up 1-0. Bastard.

Definitely got a new manager bounce with Danny Lennon coming in at the right time. Hopefully Queens can turn it around so it's not so hard for us to stay up.

Assuming Hearts beat Cowden and Hibs beat Alloa next week, we'll still need 6 points. Possible but will be difficult, we should be looking to take something from Hibs, Raith are on their holidays and hopefully Queens will be resting players for the play offs when we play them.

6 points is doable but the players will have to show the right attitude in those last two games and not assume that the opposition are taking anything for granted.

Raif players will be playing for contracts and won't be forgetting the fact we mugged them off 5-1 at their hovel earlier in the season.

Queens players will be trying to get into the squad for the playoffs and bear in mind that the likes of Russell was on the bench today, so they've clearly got some good backup.

Imo, we have to try and start our last three games by picking up something against Hibs. 3 points would probably mean we could afford to slip up, if some aids referee decision costs us.

If Cowdenbeath win the game against Alloa then we'll need 7 points to get to 8th place. That being said I'm not sure that being in the play-offs should hold any danger for us if we can continue playing the way we have.

Would be great to get all three points on Wednesday but we need to face the fact that if Hibs were to lose this on that would virtually certainly cement them in the third placed position.

Yep, Hibs will be dangerous on Wednesday; they have been pretty decent for most of the season & will be hurting from losing the semi to Falkirk who seem to have their number this season & further motivated by the Huns winning at Dumbarton, they need the 3 points to try to pressure them going in to the final 2 rounds of league games & 2nd place has the bonus of getting a bye to the play-off semi. Finishing 3 or 4th doesn't matter a whole lot as they will have to play each other to get to the semi.

This is further evidence that the current play-off format is flawed & skewed.

I think Hibs play better football than the Huns & as such we will have to be at our very best to get something from the game. 3 points would be fantastic, 1 is not beyond the realms of possibility but the most likely result is a loss.

Alloa getting a point today was disappointing but really doesn't change anything as far as we are concerned & it is a similar position if we do lose on Wednesday. If we assume as Livilion has said that Cowden & Alloa lose next weekend then as long as we win both our last two games we will be in at least 9th place...& given where we were a couple of weeks ago I'd bite your arm off for 9th place.

Hibs had a lot of possession against Falkirk but they couldn't score for shit, imo we'll give them a harder game than Falkirk did.

Falkirk are by far the most anti-football team I've seen this season. Very solid but very boring to watch.

Houston has Hibs sussed though and Stubbs isn't able to see it, he's too focussed on how great Hibs are at passing the ball around to actually see how pish they are at defending balls into the box. Stubbs is so up his own arse.
Although I don't like Houston either it was faf reading Houston saying his team has beaten Hibs 3 times this season and according to Stubbs Hibs have been the best team every time they've lost.

And now its even funnier that Hibs lost because Caley have dumped the Glasgow Greens.

Much as I have no time whatsoever for John Hughes I'd like Caley to win the cup; always had a soft spot for the club as they followed us up the league.

Not bothered who wins it's just good to see the 2 favourites (media's darlings) getting dumped out in the semi's.

Would top it all off if QoS beat Hibs and Sevco in the play offs and Motherwell in the final. Feckng ironic that they wouldn't entertain a bigger top league because there wasn't enough big teams when more and more the top league is getting full of those teams that weren't big enough and the 2nd tier is full of the ones that used to play in the SPL.

The referees/SFA will make sure the Huns go up. I still can't believe how they got away with that on Wednesday. An absolute fucking disgrace in this country.
