Pre-Season Friendlies

We've got games against Stenhousemuir (4th July), Dunfermline (11th July), and Dundee (15th July). Stenny away and the other two at home. Not seen the Dundee one confirmed anywhere but looks like it's happening.

Would like to think the embargo would be lifted by then, otherwise we'll be seeing a team full of trialists, would give us an idea of who we're likely to sign when it does get lifted.

Also I'm not even surprised the OS doesn't have anything about this, Stenny and Dunfermline managed to confirm the games, it can't be that difficult surely?

The OS is worse than the day late record for news.

Those are some horrific friendlies.

Don't cars about friendlies; they never seem to give an accurate picture of the capabilities of the squad & are geared towards getting the players match fit. Too often one of our better players gets crocked & doesn't kick a ball in earnest until February.

One thing is for sure....our 3 signed players better be superfit.....presumably the remaining players will be trialists unless the ban is lifted

Yepp, the staff better have them super fit, Martindale will have them buzzing anyway...

I'm sure Shags White will be our heroine this season regardless of what happens with the embargo.

Apparently Albion Rovers away on the 14th of July. Another dud fixture.

Real Sociedad now on the 14th of July instead of Albion Rovers. Bit gutted I won't be able to make it.

Slight improvement on the rest of the shite we have, Boness aside.

Not sure if they'll play their first team but they've got some great players. Canales, Finbogasson, Prieto, Granero and Inigo Martinez all spring to mind. They'd absolutely ruin us but it'd be great to see them play against Livi. Gotta say there's been a massive improvement since Rankine took himself to fuck, hopefully a strong crowd turns out for this one.

Also can't wait to see the look on Davie Moyes' face when big Shags in ploughing through his daughter (wid).

I imagine if they're going to play Celtic as well, we'll see at least a few of their decent players. Surely they won't take a huge squad?

The entire first team squad will be here plus a few fringe players getting a run out. After all the shite we've endured of late, things are starting to look up. Even though it's only a friendly we won't see a team anywhere near as good as this round here for a long time.

Actually we're the last of three teams (with Celtic first) so I'd be very surprised if there aren't a few names we've heard of.

Great game v the Spanish

Fair fucks to whoever managed to get Sociedad along here... Play-off round of the Europa League last season and made it into the group stages of the Champions League the season before, relatively decent pedigree this decade in the top flight of Spanish football, with some top-class internationals. Would be good to see Vela play, cracking player on his day and if they turn up we'll get ragdolled.

Only because we were already scheduled against Albion Rovers, LiviLion. The #AM are never second choice.

Sevco were prob scared they'd be embarrassed by Sociedad and compared against how Celtic got on against them.
