Prob stick with Ogleby 2nd half but wouldn't mind giving White a shot and seeing Hippolyte on for Glen.

1-0 HT. Time to regroup and get fired up to have a go at them 2nd half.

Looks like game over as Russell gets the 2nd. Bloody knew he'd pop up and score.
Scratch that Sives gets one back, ya dancer, mon the Lions.

Spot on. No excuses.Liviforever wrote:Disapponting to see us lose a goal from a corner, was hoping we'd defend them better with us having decent height in the defence.
Dat score doh. 2-2 Mullen. As predicted by EL, big player this season.

Sives is a goal machine. Looked much improved on last season in the Arbroath. Hopefully the full pre-season does him good.

Hippolyte coming on with White and playing central striker by the looks of things. Was far more dangerous there than out wide. I'm hopeful.

Yep White and Hippolyte on now for Glen and Ogleby, see what White can do now, Ogleby had plenty chances but couldn't stick any away.

Ogleby needs a bit of confidence and he'll be a top player. All the physcial attributes and looked to have a great touch.
Hippolyte misses a sitter. Junkie Lyle on for them.

Mullen has claimed his starting spot already by the looks of things, wee man is def up for it this season.
Hippolyte just over from a header, beginning to think we can win this.

Good to see us having a strong bench this season, at times last season we had nothing from the bench.

I think we might get suckerpunched here.
Oops, they just hit the bar.
Agree on the bench. Plenty of options there. I'd consider Burchill in extra-time.

So extra time then....is the prediction league score for the 90 mins or for the final result?

From another corner too, def needing to get that sorted, should be better at defending set pieces.

Final result for who will win and 90 mins for the score, Bertie. If you predicted 2-2 with a Livi win and we go onto to win, that would be 3 points. Additionally, if you predict a Livi win and we go on to win in whatever circumstances, then it's 1 point.
Queens live updates - 16:49 - A less than deserved come back takes the game to extra time. Queens really were there own worst enemies with some poor defending.
Greetin'. I hope we gub these arseholes.
Happy with extra-time with us looking dangerous and showing resiliency. Let's get through.

From what our twitter feeds have posted it has been an entertaining game with both teams having chances to win it, certainly doesn't look undeserved, unless our twitter has been biased. Hippolyte has had two good chances to put it away and they hit the underside of the bar from a corner, pretty even.

Yassssssss Hippo scores, 2-3 Livi
McKenna set him up too, good to see he's handling the step up, early days but both McKenna and Hippolyte are showing they're cracking players.

Yeah the amount of running about Mullen does he must be knackered by now, would be a good idea to get Burchill on for him now. Oops Robertson has come on for him just as I was typing this.

4-3 Livi Full-Time. Robertson with the winner 5 minutes from time.
Practically nursing a semi right now. Brilliant from the players, well chuffed for them. McGlynn played a blinder with the subs.

Fantastic win, at 2-0 down I thought we'd had it and feared a gubbing would hit our confidence, so even better coming from behind and winning.
Delighted for Robertson to get our winner too, can only judge him on how he plays for us and he's got off to a great start.

Well that was some game to kick off our competitive season.
I thought we started brightly and had most of the play until Queens scored. Losing from a corner was disappointing. After that they showed what they could do and looked dangerous in attack with Danny Carmichael and Russell looking particularly lively. Both teams were giving 100% and it was entertaining to watch.
A combination of good play from Carmichael and Russell's poaching instincts led to their second. I thought we were dead and buried at that point but we got one back with a headed goal from Sives almost right away. Our second was a wee bit bizarre with Mullen and a Queens player wrestling for the ball. Mullen was actually on the ground and kicked it towards goal. Their GK was stranded and it trickled into the net.
Extra time was just as entertaining. I thought we were going to have penalties when Queens equalised to make it 3-3 but Robertson popped up and won it for us.
I felt Mullen and McKenna were our best players but they all contributed something. Hippolyte is a bit of an enigma at times. He will be interesting to watch as the season goes on.
What are the odds on a rare home tie in the next round I wonder.

Read a post from a Queens fan saying Livi were far better looking than last season, interesting as although we had the likes of Scougall and McNulty we perhaps didn't have as balanced a team as we do now. They also said we looked a far fitter team than them.

"Livi were miles better than last season and John McGlynn looks like he has recruited smartly. McKenna had a very good game considering where he came from and the subs White and Hippolyte were very impressive when they came on."
Its good to hear what the opposition fans think of our performance, another quote from one of the queens fans above.
Well done to the manager as he fielded seven debutants yesterday during the game and everybody worked their socks off
and just maybe we can have a very good season. Certainly a great start to the season.
