Another game in 2 days, so no time for the players to dwell on the defeat is a good thing but it doesn't give us much physical recovery time.

Thankfully Hardie is rested up having not played since Saturday, hopefully Keaghan is not too knackered after getting 60 mins last might, we'll need his drive in midfield.

Our home form is absolutely fantastic, but a lot will depend on how much our players took out of themselves last night, we need to be as near to 100% to get wins in this league. We've been a bit slack defending set pieces of late, and Hearts looked very dangerous from there when we last played them, which worries me a bit. Our left flank is also a problem area, if Lamie is still out it'll prob be Lawless playing there, Burns wont be available against his parent club.

Hopefully we are right up for this and can get the win, 3 points here would be massive and keeping us in the hunt for a top 6 spot.

Once again a draw would be a good result; they have struggled recently but were cheated of a win in Perth when the officials gave a pen against Haring for standing within 6 inches of a Saints player & despite losing to St Midden they won at the weekend.

That said, if we can tighten up again at the back & get stuck in as we did in the second half last Saturday, then we can certainly give them a lot to think about.

Good news, Levein wont risk playing Naismith on our plastic pitch, dunno why, he can fall down on plastic just as easily as he can on grass.

Lamie is still a doubt with a back injury from the St Mirren game, would be great if he makes it, really missing him.

Would love for Robinson to get a goal against his old team, and Hardie to get on the scoresheet too. Funny how quickly things have changed, i'm now more concerned about our keeping goals out than us scoring goals.

Good to see we're giving away free tickets to schools for this one, hopefully a regular thing again.

Looks like one of the sponsors who have paid for it though so maybe not.

I love Friday night football. bounce

What a return for Ryan Hardie, 2 starts and 3 goals, we're sitting 5th in the league too, just think what we can do now we've got a goal scoring striker playing for us. Really hard not to be getting carried away, i'm really looking forward to the 2nd half of the season to see just how high we can go.

Cracking goal by Dolly too, patiently waited till he got his opening and drilled it through the defender's and keeper's legs.

Another clean sheet as well, although we gave them an open goal to get a consolation, glad they hit the bar with it though.

I was thoroughly enjoying the game at 0-0... then the goal flood began.

I thought we were the better side first half but they looked dangerous when they got forward. That said we were unlucky not to be ahead at the break. They started the second half a wee bit better than us but we soon matched them again. I was surprised we got the pen, so often goalies get away with clattering opposition players, I wondered why the ref showed the keeper the yellow & red, so credit to him for correcting himself. Well taken pen, especially with the time that it took to sort out that the keeper was only booked. Djoum was then silly to get booked for the second time & we ripped them to shreds for the rest of the game. I think we started feeling sorry for them at 4-0 & started passing it around for fun. If we had continued going for the jugular as we did in the 5 mins after the red card it could have been even more.

Scott “Perpetual motion” Pittman was immense. Dolly danced his way through them repeatedly. Keaghan was excellent again apart from the slack ball that nearly gifted them a consolation goal at the end. Byrne battled away & was no doubt delighted to have now scored against both Edinburgh sides. Lawless gave them plenty to think about. Cadden had the beating of the right back but couldn’t get his cross into a dangerous area but got a few corners, Halkett looked a bit shaky early on but grew into the game as the back 3 got to grips again. Kelly didn’t have that much to do but looked pretty secure. Hardie started to look like he did last season & bagged his brace with ease (unlucky not to score first half when he hit the post). Brilliant ball from Robbo to release Lawless in the build up to Byrne’s goal.
Saunders sauntered through his time on the pitch & Hammy looked useful again.

Heard Levein afterwards, he thought their early injury was a major blow to them; accepted it was a pen & blamed the keeper for giving it away but he thought Djoum’s second yellow was harsh. He was embarrassed at the way they collapsed after that. He didn’t make any excuses but stopped short of praising us.

So 9 points from 15 in December so far; two away & a home game to come.

I think that's Hardie now broken in and can get more involved with the midweek fixture a week on Wed, might not play him the full 90 mins in that game but he could start and play 60 same as we did with Keaghan against Aberdeen. Got no midweek games next week so the players can enjoy their xmas night out and get their heads clear for Hibs away next Sat. drunken

Have to say i rubbed my eyes in disbeleif this morning after witnessing that last night.Abeit against ten men the way Livi dismantled Hearts was totally ruthless and profesional and they thoughrally desrved their victory last night. Make no bones about it,we should have been out of sight after that first half with the chances that fell to us but justice was done in the end with that super showing in the second.Agree with the sponsers mom in Scott Pitman. When you see the game back the work he put in at both the front and at the back helping out made him a stand out for me.Both Dolly and Ryan were terrific and Dollys goal will live long in the memory of all Livi fans who were there to witness it.All in all a terrific night for us albeit mild hypothermia nearly setting in but thanks to Livi for warming us up after that display. As ive said before doubt us if you dare.Onwards and upwards.Unbeleivable!!!
