They can say what they like about our pellets but some of these pitches I'm seeing on the tele are not in good nick.

Re: SPFL Pitches
Was thinking about that last night when watching the Hibs match - a sliding mud pool.

Re: SPFL Pitches
Nah come on, all grass pitches are perfect all year round, perfect bounce, always consistent, never get cut up or look like tattie fields after weeks of rain and snow, oh wait, i'm describing plastic pitches, and folk talking shite saying grass pitches don't deteriorate in the winter months.
Just a pity we can't get grants to put sliding roofs on stadiums to use when there are howling winds blowing the ball about all over the place. Feckers that moan about plastic pitches would prob say it is better playing in windy conditions than an unnatural perfect conditions during the winter months inside a covered stadium too right enough, blethering shites that they are.

Re: SPFL Pitches
Now that we are the only SPL club with a plastic pitch look out for a proposal to ban them.
The motion would need a 11 to 1 vote.

Re: SPFL Pitches
SPL doesn't exist, it's the SPFL now, all 42 clubs under the one organization, so doesn't that mean all 42 clubs would have to vote on it?

Re: SPFL Pitches
So basically we could have the top flight voting to ban plastic pitches, the rest of the league vetoing that, then the top flight whinging that the tail is wagging the dog & threatening to breakaway unless they get their way... seen it all before.
After Jock Stein’s Celtic won 9 in a row the league changed to the premier division with the premise being it was to encourage greater parity so that the gruesome twosome wouldn’t dominate as much... cue the 80’s & the rise of Aberdeen under Fergie & Dundee United under McLean... and Hearts almost joined in.... then Souness & Smith resurrected Rangers since then it’s been the ugly sisters all the way. Marching on to greater domination than they have ever had.... it’s time for change, it’s time to level the playing field.... but how? Salary cap? Forced redistribution of finances? I don’t know what will work but it’s pretty dull knowing it’s a 2 horse race at best every season.

Re: SPFL Pitches
Yep, hilarious when Gerrard complains about our pitch and the old it levels the playing field shite comes out, giving the home team an advantage etc etc. Biggest advantage in the league is the arse cheeks financial one, making it a two horse race every season.
If they want to have some fair and competitive football in the Premiership they'll need to introduce a points handicap system that would give the other 10 teams a fighting chance. Either that or a wage cap so we're all roughly able to sign the same quality player. That would feck the arse cheeks chances in Europe even more though so they'd never go for it, but if it was a 9-3 vote it could pass anyway.
Clubs self interest in their own greed would win through though, and if the arse cheeks threatened to feck off they'd all fold, even though there is no place for them to go.
