Utd form-3 draws and 2 wins.

Livi form- 4 defeats and a draw.

There should be no doubt on the outcome of this game. BUT

Seriously though, if we field the same team as our cup game then i think we have a good chance of beating them, cut off their midfield from their strikers and pressing their defenders. To use an old cliched, it's a massive game to turn our season around, a win would really put a different complexion on things, and give us a much needed lift.

Has to be Poplatnik up front again, still unsure about Fitzwater in defence, as he wasn't really tested against Ayr, but he certainly gave us a new threat at set pieces. Forrest and Mullin also have to start, both give us a goal threat and Mullin's deliveries at set pieces are something we've been missing this season. Still not sure why we're playing Lawson at LB instead of Serrano, he does ok there but Serrano is still better, i think Devlin and Mullin looked a better combo against Ayr, but if Forrest and Serrano had played it would've been the same down the other wing. I'd rather have Lawson in midfield with Sibbald, but can't see Marv being dropped.

So we'll prob go with the same starting XI as the Ayr game, and hopefully give us the same energy in pressing them to grab ourselves a goal or 2 of a lead at HT.

But of random info. I found out that every Wednesday or when the players have a day off that Poplatnik and Lawson go to the stadium and train for couple of hours, every single time. Today they did crossing and shooting practice Commitment and drive, well played lads

Played better against Ayr than St Mirren - is that an indicator to the leagues ? - imo they looked more interested against Ayr

I hope Davie keeps the same starting 11 and get at United straight from the start.

Good to see Foxy back to help out.Yeh United are a big step up from Ayr and will no doubt pose a bigger threat to us.If we can carry the game to United from the start which i think wel have to we can get a result here.Dont know if Davie will be tempted to start the same 11 as last week.Given the calibre of opposition. Clark and Mcnulty the danger men for them will have to be whatched. Anyway looking forward to this with reasonable optimism. Do it Livi.

Mellon and his coaching staff are all in covid islolation, so both teams with no managers. Just need a few of their players going into isolation now and we'd get awarded a 3-0 win, we should insist they get another covid test tomorrow.

9 Utd players having to self isolate now.

Dundee United will be without NINE first team players against Livingston on Saturday - and could be decimated against Rangers the following week.

Manager Micky Mellon and a number of staff are in isolation after a Covid-19 outbreak at Tannadice.

And a number of players have now been told to quarantine having been in close contact.

That means nine first team players will miss Livingston, and they could also be out for the clash with Rangers on December 13 depending on when their isolation began.

Virtually the same team as last week with the exception of Serrano in for Lawson.Proplatnik up front on his own,pity. Dundee Utd just about full streaghth amid this Covid situation, now theres a surprise. NOT!. Mon the Lions..

Hearing doom and gloom from Utd fans.Wont be takin in by that.Theve got two top strikers on from the start.Our defence is gonna have to be on top of their game to keep them quiet.TBH not so sure now.Hope im wrong of course.

Fairly even game so far.Shame Proplatnik seems isolated on his own up front.Weve managed to keep their front two quiet so far.Hopefully our defence can keep it going and maybe sneak this.Too close to call.

0-0 is the right score so far, nothing of real note at either end. We did have a wee shout for a pen but couldn’t tell if there was much in it from what I saw.

Hopefully with us kicking off the second half we can get right at them like we did last week against Ayr cause so far it’s been too much hit & hope & not enough creativity. Also concerned that we are spending too much energy trying to win the ball only to give it straight back with an aimless ball.
