World Cup 2022 Draw

Anyone else not surprised in the slightest when our potential group turned out to be England’s group?

Euro 96, an alleged random draw sees Scotland in with England
Euro 16, an alleged random draw sees Wales in with England
Euro 20, an alleged random draw sees Scotland in with England
WC 22, an alleged random draw sees Wales or Scotland or Ukraine in with England

Of course an alleged random draw also so Scotland & Wales in the same play-off path

It happens too many times.

Ironically in 1958 - the only time the four home nations all qualified for the same tournament, a tournament consisting of only 16 teams, not one of them were drawn in the same group as any of the others.

Wonder if the English press will be saying England should step aside and let Ukraine top the group, like they were saying Scotland should do for Ukraine to get through the qualifiers.

No, they are plotting England’s route to the final via a very hard path after they qualify from the easiest group they could have hoped for.

Taken a while but what a let down against Ukraine. We had a decent spell of possession first half but did absolutely nothing with it and once they opened the scoring there was only going to be one winner.
