Livi v Hibs Empty Livi v Hibs

Post by Liviforever Mon Oct 13, 2014 5:37 pm

Not sure what to expect from either team, both are very inconsistent and Livi are still finding goals hard to come by.

If we get anything I suspect it'll be 1-1 or somehow nicking it 1-0 with our dodgy defence not conceding from a set piece. Thank goodness Farid isn't playing against us anyway.

I'll again let my heart rule over my brain and go for 1-0 Livi, FG 64 mins.

Fearing another drubbing from one half of the Edinburgh teams. Usually Hibs pull off a win following a crap result.

    3-0 Hibs. FG 41 mins.

I'm hoping we see a more confident Livi with a better shape and less confident Hibs with a shaky defence. If that is the case, I'll go for 4-0 Livi FG 13 mins.

He said: “Now that the Petrofac Cup can be put on the back burner, we need to get back into taking points in the league.

“There’s nine points up for grabs in the next week and we really need to try to get as many of them as we can to start climbing up the table.”

Here's hoping we start with taking all 3 against Hibs on Sat. Mon the Lions.

I thought everyone had sacked the prediction league, which suited me fine as I had a fine lead at the top at one stage. Cool

Seems as though it's back, and I want my place at the top of league back too - so in that case: Livingston 0 - 1 Hibs (FG 51 mins). Lucky win for the tramps from Leef, Livi will say they deserved at least a draw, despite having about 1 shot on target at home, in a game contested by 2 dreadful sides. Livingston to be horrendous, Hibs fans will get far too excited by the result and some Livi fans will finally lose the plot on the official FB page and call for McGlynn to be sacked. Me to come on here tomorrow afternoon at some point an absolute raging mess, and cry about how we should never have sacked Gary Bollan, and how we'd probably be in the SPL now if we'd have kept him.

What is Jordan whites role up front? He's no fast enough for a through ball and couldn't win a header against jimmy crankie

Must be watching a different than me mate. Once again the keeper has cost us the first goal just like Hearts Stranraer and now Hibs not to mention the howler v Hibs an the first game of season

Keeper did cost us the first but only 10 mins earlier the hibs keeper was under less pressure and dropped the ball to be given a foul. White has been anonymous for a while and ogleby had better off the ball movement when he came on. I don't think McKenna is good enough to cause these teams any problems...most of his passes were backwards or square. Talbot and Burchell are the only players I would say performed well tonight

    Well that was depressing.

I thought we were very much in the game at half time & but for a goalie error would have been level.
We weren't particularly good but neither were they, although I thought they dominated us in midfield.
We lacked movement & width but still came up with a great move up the left wing that eventually came to nothing.

Second half we were rubbish; didn't cause them any problems and didn't look like getting back into it.
Their 2nd goal was a decent bit of play & a good finish, the 3rd was never a pen, both players slipped on the wet surface. The 4th was poor defence & goalkeeping.

Now Lexi's previous comments about this being a terrible start make sense, because right now we are in a major league crisis; bottom, bereft of confidence, don't look like scoring & no real shape to the way we play. It is simply not good enough & if it doesn't get sorted soon we will go down.

Sorry but DJ was under no pressure whatsoever when he dropped the ball.

Agree with you on their keeper getting a foul for nothing but that happened in their favour throughout the game; nevertheless we weren't remotely in it in the second half.

Forgotten what it is like for us to score a goal in the league too, 4 games without a goal, depressing stuff. Its like we've chucked it since the 4-0 Alloa win.

First half was nothing in it, both teams were mediocre and didn't threaten much. Our best moves were early on when Talbot and Burchill worked overlaps down the wing for Talot to get balls into the box, but as the game went on we reverted back to the long ball which continually goes straight up to the keeper or out for a goal kick. Even when White wins a header nobody is there to get his nod on, totally baffling why we keep playing balls like that up to him. Once again a cheap goal conceded when Hibs didn't look threatening, and we nearly gave them a 2nd before HT losing possession cheaply just outside our box.

2nd half Hibs cut through us like a hot knife through butter to get their 2nd, after that it was just a shambles and Hibs scored a goal every 10 mins or so without getting out of 1st gear, prob would've pumped us 8-0 if we'd played a 3rd half. We were unlucky not to score when the ball was hooked off the line but quite frankly we were shite and didn't deserve a goal.

Learnt Gaelic for shite BTW, it's Livingston.

Just need to forget this game and get on to the Falkirk one, and just hope to feck we can get a goal, we desperately need to start scoring so we can at least put pressure on teams and maybe lift us to perform better.

Really, really not good. It never ceases to amaze me that when we lump a ball into the box, we almost never win the second ball. When the opposition put a ball in the box - we almost never win the second ball! How the fuck can the midfield be second in both those instances? Also, our delivery from free kicks continues to be dreadful.

Getting away from the too technical stuff, we're just playing poor football. No attacking threat, look dodgy at the back and the midfield isn't performing.

We have real problems, and it's worrying.

    Falkirk is huge.

I don't think I've been so infuriated watching us in a very, very long time. First time I've ever left a game early, we were just plain shite from start to finish.

If we continue playing this long ball pish under McGlynn, who is a tactical dinosaur btw, then we are going down. Simple as that.

Shocking mistake again by DJ against Hibs, we were well in the game at that point! The second half was poor no fight, McKenna continues to disappoint and Ogleby must be one of the worst player's I've ever seen runs about like a madman can't pass or shoot! No creativity and again a bombscare at the back - pressures on against Falkirk!
