Yep, it was gone long before kick off, even if the covers weren't down it couldn't have been any worse than last week & with more time to clear the lines & perhaps even the pitch.

IMO the "midweek sized" crowd that turned up for last weeks game made the call that there would be no effort to get the game on this week in the event of snow as the likelihood was always going to be a midweek sized crowd again. That being the case, might as well play in midweek.

Might be a tactical adv for us too if the game is played on the 3rd Feb, our game against Sevco is postponed due to them playing Celtic in the cup, so we'll be rested up before playing Alloa on the Tues, plus any new signings will have more time to gel with the team.

Not sure about Tactical adv - just give our squad more time to do nothing in training.

By the thin accounts we do have it appears Sekajja does a fair bit of movement off the ball i.e. pass and move and get the ball back etc. Unfortunately a lot of practice will be required to get our guys out of the habit of passing the ball back to where the player was....

At the moment probably the only option or training will be Craigswood?

Probably the best time for it. Gives us a week and a bit after the Dumbarton match to get any new faces in and get them mixing with the squad. Would be great to have two wins against the two PT teams going in to the double header vs Hearts, but I won't hold my breath.

Alloa have Hearts at home on the Saturday so you would imagine that would give us further advantage as they're a part-time team and will have a short recovery time.

But we're Livingston so that means fuck all in this case.

First huge game of three against Alloa before the end of the season. Have to win and surely will at home mid-week. Will be keeping an eye on things from Reykjavik.

Think it's the first time this season we've beaten a team when they've been on a bad run (Dumbarton 5-1), we've been the team that has normally lost in those games, so lets keep it going and stuff Alloa too.

Also worked out good that Alloa are the team Hearts meet after a defeat, that too has gone against us this season and we've suffered from having to play teams that have been extremely motivated after a defeat. Things actually seem to be going our way for once.

Hearts will have gotten it out their system against Alloa before we play them too, hopefully, so we may cause an upset in one of our games in our double header against them. Yeah I know, getting carried away.

It really is fine lines in this league between winning and losing games, if we take our chances we'll get something against anyone, about bloody time we showed some consistency and did it more often.

    Mon the Amber Machine.

Raith's record between their 1-0 win against us and our 5-1 win against them was DDLLDLWL, so 1 win out of 8. Alloa's was a bit better though (couldn't really be worse with it being the 5th game of the season) with 2 wins followed by 2 draws.

Alloa's last win was against us and they've only picked up 3 points since then so hopefully they keep that form up for next Tuesday's game.

On the basis that we don't make any more signings before then (though I assume we will) I'd like to see...

    DJ
    Moffatt..Gallagher..Talbot..Rutherford
    Keaghan..Praprotnik..Obrien
    Hippo
    Mullen...Sekajja

White scoring 2, Mullen scoring 2 against Dumbarton, then Sakajja scoring 2, and Hippo scored 1 in a training game. Good to see our strikers all hitting them in for us this week, should give Burchill some options. Prob stick with White & Mullen, bringing Ibra, then Hippo later on as subs.

Hips must be gutted, there's absolutely no place for him in the side at all now. Would be amazed if he stays beyond the summer, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves early.

Why is there not a place for him? Surely we have 4 forwards contesting 2 places in the starting line up with the other 2 on the bench? Surely this is good for the club (if the players themselves are good enough of course).

Agreed although I've not seen any evidence that he's due a starting place. Plays best for us coming on against a tiring defence and playing on the left wing for that matter.

Checking out the weather forecast on the BBC, we're expected to have snow on early Friday and Saturday morning. Other than that it looks promosing. I assume the covers will be on until Monday at the latest.

Worked well for us when we had Beany, DeVita, Deuchar and Winters.

I don't know. But I can only assume the groundsman was aware that snow was forecast so would've had the covers down at some point this week.

Wouldn't be surprised if they are not down; we could do with getting this game played & won to pile pressure on Alloa & Cowdenbeath....the fight back is on.

Got a good feeling going into this game, think the arrival of Ibra has spurred White and Mulen on and they'll bag a few here, also fancy Ibra to come on and score. 4 or 5 nil Livi. For the predictor i'll go 5-0 Livi with FG: 9 mins.

Noticed Hearts scored their first 2 goals from outside the box today, Alloa keeper didn't look too clever for them either, we should be trying a few from long range whenever we get the chance.

I on the other hand think we scored too many against Dumbarton & will struggle to do so on Tuesday

so 1-1 with the FG in 17 mins
