Im well aware of the connection. I just thought that we could at least try not to remind everyone we have the most ridiculous stadium name in the world.
Suppose it just suits the club, amateurish.
Or maybe it shows a sense of humour? And if we are laughing at ourselves then people stop taunting because we are laughing with them rather than rising to the bait. Funnily enough since the original overblown reaction to the name it is now hardly ever mentioned except to produce puns for headlines to match reports when our Mickey Mouse amateur hour club pulls off a shock win.
It is no more ridiculous than Dumbarton's; In the NHL the Pittsburg Penguins played home matches in "The Igloo" which was nonsensical, they have either moved to another building or have a corporate sponsorship as we and many other sports clubs do. Frankly if someone is paying good money which helps the club survive then they can call the stadium Charlotte the Harlot's Boudoir for all I care.
