Liam Watt released to sign for Brechin: http://livingstonfc.co.uk/watt-departs-livi/

Glad we've got Declan back, also reckon Millar will be a good signing.

Be good to see Morgyn get a loan spell somewhere.. as he'll struggle to even get on the bench now. Also if we can get a keeper tied up and a right back (hopefully McMillan!)

Shame for Watt but ultimately isn't deemed good enough for Hopkin. He's been given a couple of chances but he's never really made a great impression, just a standard player for this level. Hope that shuts the trap from those soap dodging Airdrie fans who keep bitching and moaning about a compensation claim.

Agree about Morgyn Neill needing to get some game time. I'm sure there'll be a decent team who's willing to help us and his own development. And the same will probably happen with Jordan Sinclair now we're meant to be signing Mark Millar. Can't imagine he'll get in the team ahead of three much better CMs.

    Ryan Currie contract terminated: http://livingstonfc.co.uk/ryan-currie-departs

Good player but never got much playing time so it's probably for the best. Reckon Sinclair will follow him out the door, on a loan deal at least.

Also, according to Callum Carson we're expected to bring another 1 or 2 faces in. Imagine a right back would be top of the list, maybe another winger as well so we've some competition for Mullin/ Cadden.

Sorry to see Ryan Currie go. I reckon he would have been similar to Keeghan eventually. Can understand him wanting game time though.

Yeah you could see he had a bit of skill about his play, wasn't going to get a game this season though with the amount of midfielders we have signed ahead of him. Good luck to the lad, hopefully another League One club will snap him up and give him a chance to progress.

According to someone on P&B we've signed Bikey from Stirling Albion, good signing if true. They've got him as an amateur though to avoid paying a 40K development fee to his former club, so don't know what deal Livi would have for him, doubt we'd be wanting to fork out 40K.

Sunderland are wanting Knox on loan, that would free up a wage and maybe increase our chances of selling him for a decent wad if he does well for them.

According to the Sun and the Record, Keaghan is set to sign after 18 months away... There was nothing in the reports I saw about the length of the deal.

Would absolutely love to have Keaghan back. Seems a good move for all parties. Our team would certainly be able to create chances. Only worry is that to me this squad still seems to lack any balance....

We seem to be bulked out in midfield and the centre of defence. A bit light up top with only having 3 recognised forwards, totally deficient at RB and lacking cover at LB (using CBs to cover these positions is not a long term solution unless they do a "Gary Neville" and convert to specialising in the RB/LB roles). We also need to address the GK situation long term rather than relying on loanees.

With Mark Millar on board I would suspect it would be him and Jacobs in midfield with Pittman on the bench.

However there's no whisper of this on Keaghan or Kyle's twitter accounts so suspect its media vapour-ware.

Just catching up with all the comings and goings recently.

I'm unsure about Morgyn Neill. I suppose it's fairly risk-free for the club, given that he is still relatively young for a defender, and in truth he's never truly had a good run of games here. That said, he wasn't convincing at all last season, and he seemed to regress in truth after he made a mistake against ICT in the League Cup all the way back in September 2015... And the less said about the play-off away to Stranraer, the better (granted, he wasn't the only dud). I see Brian Reid's left Stranraer since Neill's moved, hopefully that doesn't impair his development with them and he can come back here and replace one of Lithgow or Crighton on the bench next season.

Disappointed to see Currie go. Only got appearances here and there but he was impressing in his cameos towards the end of last season, in a fairly awful team. Given the talent we've got stacked in midfield the breakthrough was always going to be near-impossible for him, but I think he'll still make a decent career in the Scottish lower leagues. Wouldn't be surprised to see him get a good run in League 2 before moving up to the top end of League 1/lower end of the Championship.

Probably a load of tosh, but someone on P&B says we've signed Bikey from Stirling Albion. I read elsewhere Dundee United were looking at him and he'd been training with them, which would probably be a decent move for any young prospect at this level. We've already got 4 decent forwards in the squad, including De Vita, so I don't see the need for another the now.

I've seen Keaghan Jacobs at the PureGym in Livi for a few months now, so there's no doubt he's probably looking to get back somewhere. Although, and it's probably shite, I read that Livi didn't offer him training facilities in the intermediate period, so if that's true it's soured a deal I'd say. He is a great player, and I wouldn't be averse to having him back, but I'd be disappointed if he wound up back here given that he went to SA with getting international honours in mind. I would also not be keen on seeing Pittman dropped for either him or Millar if the former signs; what sort of message would that send out to the squad?

Actually I know I'm in the minority here but I havent been so blown away with Pittman's performance over the past few months. There's no doubting his effort but he does seem a bit lightweight for this league and gets bullied off the ball to easily and the ball invariably ends up going backwards.

If he's going to be played then it needs to be further forward - not defensive midfield.

Pittman is our best player, stick on for PoTY and i'd be surprised if he isn't in the SPFL team of the year, no way he should be dropped. He'd be the first name on the team sheet every week.

If Keaghan came into the team i'd have him and Pittman in CM, both are great ball winners and drive forward when they get the ball, and both score goals with decent strikes.

There are players in the squad to give a good balance to the team, and plenty options for Hopkin on where to play them, but at the moment he's choosing to stack 4 CB's in defence and play without any wingers.

We could prob take 6 players off at HT and replace them with players of equal quality, def have the strongest squad in the league.

Not sure I'd agree he's the best player; he runs about a lot but whats the actual end product?

Dont get me wrong; I like Pittman and think he's very good but dont think he's really covered himself with glory in this league.

Have no idea how you can't see what he does, he's deservedly been in the SPFL team of the week more times than any other Livi player and has been the engine in our midfield all season. At the start of the season it was more obv with him being forward scoring goals, since De Vita's come in he's dropped back a bit and has been more of a ball winner, breaking up play and then getting the ball forward, never stops running and is the heart of our midfield. There would be a massive gap there without him. Folk used to say Fox did that kind of job, the dirty work etc, only you never actually seen Fox doing it, you just seen him giving the ball away all the time, Pittman actually does do it and is good at it.

We're polar opposites in how we're seeing Pittman then D, Imo he's an absolute stand out in this league.

Think you are definitely in the minority here, Durnford, but... Wedging De Vita into the side hasn't been the success we would all have hoped for, and it's not done Pittman any wonders tbh. It's been apparent since day one that he'd flourish further forward in the midfield and was showing it earlier in the season. He's still an extremely important player in my view as he does a good load of the "dirty work" that not many other players are willing to do, and he has some engine on him, to use the old cliche. I'd go as far to say that if we had a squad of players with similar attitude to his we'd be talking about us as a Championship side this season.

I'm not sure we're poles apart actually. I think hes a good player; hes not been a game changer in this league being played as defensive midfield. As you say he was a lot better in the first few games where he was playing just behind the front two.

I was going to say "Pittman is number 8, mate, the best player on the field most weeks, not sure who you are watching." Then I read your last sentence and thought, maybe you do know which player he is, cause I agree with the logic of this but I'd play him regardless. He is undoubtedly more effective as an attacking mid but he still does a good job as def-mid.

Closest thing we have had to perpetual motion for a long time and rarely loses or wastes the ball. Attitude is top drawer as well. I hope we get him/have him on a decent length contract.

Yeah he's not a Scougall or an Andreu but would still say he's been a stand out grafting away winning balls and breaking up play. We'd certainly miss him if he wasn't there.

I agree with you about wanting him playing further up the pitch, he was scoring for fun in our first 5 or 6 games getting free rein to shoot at goal.

No-one had any of those numbers, looks like they've created a space for someone signing today.

    #12 - Keagan Jacobs?

That's what i was wondering - Ryan Currie was removed several days ago and anyway his squad number was higher than that wasnt it?
