Engaging with the fans - great. Something we've been sorely lacking over the past couple of years, and I'm glad they're doing more on that front (even if the competition is being run by Ladbrokes).
Not advertising or at least offering some sort of deal for the day when we're presented with a league title is a missed opportunity, and a fairly big one at that. They could've cut gate prices to £5; free tickets to Primary kids (they may have but I'm going to say no); or let ST holders give voucher 25 to a friend to get in for free/half price.
Granted, he was a bit of a nutter most of the time, but if anyone remembers livibudgie from the other board and LiviLions, he constantly banged on about how the club was missing a trick by not expanding their horizons advertising wise, looking for something outwith football, and getting the local college, which is a miscued goal kick away from Almondvale Stadium, involved.
You could ask 10 random punters down Livi centre on Saturday morning if they knew who we were playing that afternoon. 7 would suddenly remember who we were, two would think we were still in the Championship and the other one may have an inkling.
Without ridiculing anyone at the club, and I appreciate there is no budget for it whatsoever, but if they approached advertising with even half the importance given to the recent call for accounts and ground staff then the benefits would be worth it.
