Re: 2017/18 Ins and Outs Thread
Hamilton off to Berwick Rangers. Good move for the lad, has been doing well in the Junior leagues and now the real acid test of his long-term future here will be if he can score goals in a professional league. Him netting a good number for Berwick would be a real boost for us come the summer, give the fans a homegrown player to get behind again.

Re: 2017/18 Ins and Outs Thread
Was hoping to see him get a few minutes for us before moving on again...going by the reports and the videos of his goals he looks to be exactly what we need...I understand it was a lower level he was playing at but he certainly knows where the goal is. Good luck to him anyway, hope to see him back after scoring a heap for Berwick

On the other hand if he got torn to shreds and had our fans all over his back it would have destroyed his confidence.
Hope he does well at Berwick, the clip of his goals is definitely a good watch, some nice finishes in there.

Could just as easily get torn to bits by Berwick fans.
Always going to get some twats getting on a players back the minute he makes a mistake, football fans can be critical aunts. Should be another step in his development though, he looks a good prospect and we could be doing with one coming through again.

Re: 2017/18 Ins and Outs Thread
Yes, I can completely understand why Hopkin has given him a chance at league football now, instead of having him on the fringes of our first-team. As we've seen previously to our aid, there's no harm at all in having some experience of Junior football behind a player; hopefully Hamilton can carry this on with him to Brechin, I'm hopeful he can have a part to play next season.
Now all we need is for Ogilvie and Sampson to get some game time in League 2/Lowland League and we'd be laughing.

Boyd confirmed as staying for rest of the season following the initial "emergency loan" status when he first arrived

Wonder how much we'll get for him.

Re: 2017/18 Ins and Outs Thread
Reports are saying that Sunderland are only about to submit a bid, nothing to say that he'll be signing for them so the club could reject the bid that's supposedly set to be made. Cardiff were in the a similar situation and nothing materialised.
If we're going by speculation before, the bid sounds like it would be £100K which I would take for a player who has been nothing more than a benchwarmer since Hopkin took charge.

Re: 2017/18 Ins and Outs Thread
Problem was we never got to see Knox playing in enough games to see just how good he was, he was kept under wraps too much, I saw a brief glimmer of talent against Partick Thistle in the Betfred cup game but then he hardly got a game again. He's at an age now where he should be getting first team games for us, we've had othere talented players playing long before they were 18. It may have been a brilliant bit of salesmanship on Livi's part though if he isn't that talented and we're going to get a bite at last and make over a 100K from selling him. Plus side is he's not played enough for us to miss him, so it wont affect us in the slightest playing wise.
If we're selling Danny Mullen for 10K or so then no matter what offer we get for Knox you'd think we'd take it.

Ross Brown & Josh Peters away - not too fussed by this, didn't get to see Brown, and Peters is struggling to get in a poor Forfar side.

Great stuff, as expected, from the DR there. "Set to sign" even though they haven't even made an offer.

My heart sank a little when I saw the tweet saying "Due depart", feared the worst and thought we'd lost at least one of our best players.
End of the bit on our site says "it allows me to focus on bringing in a few players we have been tracking for months" so hopefully get some signing news soon.

Re: 2017/18 Ins and Outs Thread
It's the exact same journalist every time there's some sort of transfer scoop relating to Knox. Always comes from the Record, probably explains why he's been hyped up so much. I'm not complaining, if we get six figures for him it'll be daylight robbery.
Disappointed we've not seen anything of Brown, but Peters can't get in a struggling Forfar side. Frees up wages for a striker, which we desperately need at least one of.

Re: 2017/18 Ins and Outs Thread
I was hoping Knox would get himself in the first team this season, he looks like he could be a really good player but for whatever reason he hasn't managed to get past that in a couple of years so it could just be that he isn't very good. Any money we get for him would be good and put it towards a striker.

Looking at Callum Carson's update it seems currently Knox is still on trial and thats the limit of the news unless someone in the Record knows someone at Sunderland who's standing near the photocopier....

Re: 2017/18 Ins and Outs Thread
Shame about Brown, he is no doubt a decent player and would've done a job for us but injuries have knackered him this season and he's hardly had a game. Good signing for Airdrie if he can stay injury free, a bit like Carrick really.
Looking forward to seeing who Hoppy is bringing in, or at least trying to, hopefully nobody else will jump in before we can get them.

Jack McMillan joins us on an 18 month contract. That gives us a loan deal option if we are looking to sign another striker.

Re: 2017/18 Ins and Outs Thread
Looks like we're trying to sign Ryan Hardie on loan now we've freed up a loan spot. Fingers crossed we get him.
Apparently we've hit our loan quota for the season (unless it is from teams outside of Scotland) so must be signing Hardie up as a Livi player.

Think Hopkins has done a cracking job so far - so long as we can hold on to Halkett for a wee bit longer we have the makings of a really strong team

Totally confused now but don't really want to delve to much into it for Livi's sake.
Ryan Hardie on a 6 month Loan from Sevco, then his contract runs out.
Great bit of transfer business by Hoppy. We've got shot of fringe/out on loan players and brought in
players that will strengthen our squad. Also gives us some much needed fire power up front, which we've been crying out for all season.

Re: 2017/18 Ins and Outs Thread
Absolutly delighted about the signing of Jack Mcmillen and ecstatic about the arrival of Ryan Hardie,a propper striker who will score goals for us.Heard many other clubs were after these two so well done Hoppy and the board for sanctioning these deals without going overboard financially.Must admit im not to enthused about signing Mark Miller from Falkirk as he seems to be coming towards the end of his career and has definatly lost a yard or two in recent times. However i seem to recall many years ago a few eyebrows were raised when we signed both Robbie Winters and John Robertson who were supposed to be passed it and we all know how well they did for us so wiiling to give him a chance.Any way a very warm welcome to all three of them. The second half of the season is now looking evermore promising.

Re: 2017/18 Ins and Outs Thread
Just looked at some of Ryan Hardie's goals, he disny half like a goal against St Mirren, 2 hattricks in 2 games against them, canny wait till we play the Paisley soap dodgers now. Liking his direct style of play too, straight at the gaoling and boom, nae messing, a few good runs and strong on the ball, looking forward to seeing him playing in a Livi shirt.
Interesting tae that one of his goals was pouncing on a pass back from Gregor Buchanan, oops.
Any chance we could sign a striker called Laurel now, what a great front pairing that would be.
