He's been slumming it on P&B.
Which used to be ok, but lately has been taken over by people playing political games, over these court cases involving Hogarth, Rankine and Sumner against Ward. Multiple new accounts popping up to slag off Ward and Martindale, with endless posts on hearsay allegations and tedious titbits of gossip.

Will we ever rid ourselves of those people who appear as white knights and then try to keep the damsel locked in the tower and guarded by a dragon?
I really don’t see the point in getting involved with a club spouting promises to keep it alive, to then exit that club & try to take it down. I realise they are trying to recoup some of their investment but surely they know that making money from buying into a football club is a pipe dream for most and when you begin to involve lawyers, it’s the lawyers who make all the money.

In an otherwise so dissapointing season. Its been utterly despondent seeing all this shite happening off the field. The slanging back and forth has been frankly embarrassing and has been so for the last six months or so.Theres such a division among the support ive not seen for many years. Can but only hope were efficient enough to compete when this shambles finally comes to some kind of conclusion that will see us with some kind of semblance of stability both on and off the field..

I don't really know if there's a big divide in the support Troy, the loudest shouters aren't usually a majority, and with so many new accounts popping up we know some are multiple accounts by the same poster, he didn't even try to disguise it, using variations of the same username. New accounts that instantly say the same things are also suspicious.
In our actual support at games, i'm not terribly aware of much toxicity where i sit behind the away dugout, but read there are a few behind the home one. Same at away matches, i've witnessed a small minority (feck, sound like an erse cheek apologist using that line) giving abuse, but they're loud and intrusive into the others that just want to go and try enjoy games of football.
Hopefully these types will drift away with relegation, because they seem to have a very entitled view of what level Livi should be playing football, we've all been here long enough to know we aren't supported well enough to think we're a Premiership level club.
The off field stuff will hopefully be sorted during the close season, so whoever we're left with can get on with the actual job they should be doing, getting a competive team assembled for next season.

Aye seems to be a pattern, we get folk coming in and putting loans into the club, then after a few years when things are looking bleak they step aside for someone else to have a go, then start with the court cases to get back their loans. Also claims of triple accounting by Rankine as he tried to get 1M pounds back, but after a court case was given a third of that. And Hogarth not bothering with the court route, just helped himself to money from the funds before leaving, and claims that he took more than he put in.
Rankine is still involved through Sumner, having shares in the club, whilst pretending he was away from having any influence for years now.
Dunno why Nixon is still involving himself, he was at the recent Trust meeting, his court case was settled after a long dispute with the club.
Ward has taken us as far as we can go under his stewardship too, but can't move things on with these court cases going on. Think it would be better for the club if this was all settled, and they all just left Livi for someone new to come in, with no ties to former board members or owners, so this ongoing pattern of court disputes is finished.

Yeh,I get what you mean L/F.Wasnt particularly talking about P&B although I've been following it for my sins.Im talking about it in general terms.I heard it at the Trust meeting, which I attended.Ive heard it in the West stand all around me as well as in the bars before and after matches. Its hard to reason with some of them in such violitile times.Even hearing some wont renew their season tickets as long as this situation continues. Frustrating and deflating.Doesnt fill me with overwhelming confidence for next season.

We've had a lot worse than this happening at Livi, if a piss poor season and relegation is all it takes for folk not to renew their ST's, they are being pretty fair weathered supporters. If it's deeper than that they're maybe better off taking a break, personally i just go to the football to socialize and have a few hours release from life's daily grind, and not to take on more strife. And i'll be there supporting Livi whichever division we find ourselves playing in.

Re: Other Premiership Games
Aye especially this season Troy, the football certainly hasn't been the best part of going to games.
Most enjoyable game i've been to this season was our early season match at Easter Rd, got the train through early, was in an old fashioned pub, where it looked like the alkies were just in ahead of us getting their first drink in. Drink was pretty cheap, and good, after a few hours "socializing" we headed to the game, where we had a pretty entertaining 3-2 win. Then headed to an Indian restuarant for a curry, then wandered up along Princess street going past the street entertainers from the last day of the festival, and into a pub for a wee bit more "socializing" before finally heading home in the train. An oasis of an away day in a desert dry season.

Re: Other Premiership Games
My assessment in the league cup group was we’d struggle to stay up, then the first 3 or 4 league games gave us all some hope. By and large we haven’t been any worse than the opposition but we’ve had no luck and too many individual errors. Since the early season draw with St Mirren we’ve just gained no traction never mind any momentum.
Then the negative results have just kept coming and any and all confidence has disappeared. Some performances have been truly woeful (still no worse than most opponents though) and Martindale’s stubborn insistence to stick to a process that clearly wasn’t working and to players who were clearly out form hasn’t helped. You just have to listen to the after match videos to hear the same issues being aired every single week. From being the team everyone hated playing because it was always a hard game we have become the team everyone wants to play because we are so easy to play against.

He’s no Ederson when it comes to taking them but that was a good save to win it.
Decent game I thought, hopefully Hearts give Whingers a game tomorrow and beat them.

Only 2 wins in their last 8 games in all comps, both against Hibs, good time for Hearts to be meeting them in a semi final.

Re: Other Premiership Games
Damp squib if a game after yesterday. Hearts were arguably the better side but their final ball was lacking quality and Vargas was particularly wasteful.
Felt for Coventry in the FA Cup… 3-0 down with 20 mins to go they took it to extra time and looked to have won it in the last minute of ET only for VAR to over turn it on what looked like was poorly drawn lines. I really do hate VAR which was brought in ostensibly to help get wrongly disallowed goals counting. I guarantee they have disallowed more than they have allowed. Then to lose on Pens. Gutted for them.

Is that what happened, i checked the scores and swear i saw they were 4-3 up, only to then see them losing on pens, thought wtf happened there. That's gutting for them.
Yeah disappointing for Hearts, thought they'd make a game of it, and a decent chance of getting to the final. Instead another yawn fest i have no interest in, wont even check who won, really couldn't care less. The sponsors and tv company will be overjoyed though, they love a bigot final.
