Back to league business, so no time to dwell on our cup final defeat, feeling sorry for ourselves.

Sevco back to being on fire, banging in the goals against Utd and Antwerp, so this is going to be a really tough game, and a chance for Stryjek to regain his Jersey, with McCrorie not allowed to play against his parent club.

Lets surprise everyone and bounce back from the weekend's disappointment with a morale boosting point or three. Mon the Lions. cheers

Sorry to say it but we don’t have the remotest chance of getting anything from this game.
We have stopped creating chances & stopped playing to our strengths.

When DM took over from GH we reverted to what we do well & it worked; then he started playing to nullify the opposition threat & the wheels started loosening until they fell off. We are now facing the best side in the country at the moment by a country mile.

We will do well to restrict them to 3 goals.

For a while they were scraping 1 goal wins over Killie, Aberdeen, a shite Celtic, Hibs, St Johnstone, and drew 1-1 with Motherwell and Accies, but they've banged in 4 and 5 goals against Utd and Antwerp in their last 3 games so looks like their struggle to score goals is over..................................would be good if we picked this game to end ours too. bounce

As always we'll be tested in defence and will need to be on them as much as we can whenever they have the ball (which will be a lot) and hopefully nick a goal at the other end. Wont be easy, as Bertie has said, nobody will give us a chance, but how many times have we been written off, and proven everyone wrong, nothing to lose here as we're being seen as beaten before a ball has been kicked, lets do this, give them a bloody nose and get the points. Mon the Lions. cheers

No enthiousasm from me whatsoever im afraid.Think Martindale will have a helluva job picking them up after Sunday for this. Then again could we see an unlikely backlash against the incoming champions here.I seriously doubt it and will be glad to get this out of the way, especially with brother Beaton officiating, thats a goal of a start for them right away imo.Damage limitation has to be the aim here for a team lacking in confidence and motivation at the moment unfortunatly. Bigger games on the horizon.🦁.

If it was at Ibrox i'd agree, but it's at Livi, and we held them to a draw when we were a lot worse than we are now*, and they were a lot better. As much as they scudded Utd, they didn't have it all their own way and should've been 2 goals down early doors, Shankland missing sitters. Utd cut through them a few times. And as much as they've fired in the goals in their last 3 games, they've conceded a fair few too, and they hadn't been conceding that amount of goals all season.

They can be beaten, or at least drawn with, just need our players to have themselves up for it. I have faith that they will be.

*This was when we lost to St Mirren, got horsed at home to Hibs, and scraped a draw with Motherwell, Holt was chucking all our CB's into the team in a back 3, as well as playing Efe at LWB, and we still managed to get a 0-0 draw with Sevco.

So far so good, defended all the set pieces well, and have had a couple of wee half chances, Pittman's shot should've been better, and Robbo just needed a bit more on the ball to stick it past McGregor.

Expected Beaton to give them a pen, shocked when he got the yellow card out, makes up for the one he gave Guthrie, because that wasn't one either. Wasn't a pen but with Beaton i expected him to give them it. FAF seeing Slippy getting his marching orders too, mouthy wee aunt is always moaning.

We rode our luck in the closing minutes with balls scrambling about our box, thought Arfield's was in, sheesh.

Mon Livi, you can do this. bounce

Gutted.Yeh we rode our luck at times but we didnt deserve that outcome.Defence held out brilliantly until that ending.Lawson was good when he came on i thought,Robbo not to pleased getting subbed. And trust Morelos to put the boot in after that blatant dive. Wait till Slippy sees it back, embarresing. I didnt think we'd get anything from this.So close but no cigar unfortunatly. On to Saturday for that top six place at Fir Park.🦁

Much better performance than Sunday’s. Gave them a game.

As for the goal... Lawson slid in but did nothing which meant Fitz couldn’t swing at it to try and clear it, Davis made Max make the save & Pitts was sleeping at the back stick letting Fatboy Morelos tap it in.

Performance would have been worthy of a point but they are worthy title winners this season even if they aren’t as good as they think they are.

Accies point against Saints effectively means 1 point seals top 6 as United would need a 15 goal swing & Saints can’t get to 41

    B@gger, so close.

Proud of the players performance, great effort, and deserved a point, but wasn't to be. A better game for Stryjek too, back to his best.

Now lets get a win against Motherwell on Sat and secure a top 6 spot. cheers

A point will do it, United won’t get a 15 goal swing in their favour
