Peterhead & Raith prevented it being all good but we have the following East based sides going up:

    Hibs
Livi (we are closer to Edinburgh than Glasgow)
    Brechin
    Arbroath
    Forfar

Dundee United stand a good chance of adding to that list & Cowdenbeath stayed up. If United do go up that will be 4 teams from the Tayside/Angus area.

Will be parties in Angus anyway, Brechin up to the Championship, Arbroath and Forfar up to League 1, Montrose even got themselves into the playoffs.

My favourite part of the trip to Brechin is a cup of their delicious home made soup.
Second favourite is that famous hedge.

I've never been to their ground, of Elgin's, Ross County's, Forfar's, Peterhead's, Dundee's, Dundee Utd's. I seem to have a cut off point after the Fife clubs, although I did go to an Aberdeen game but only because I was up there for the weekend with Mrs LF and just 'coincidently' happened to be when we played Aberdeen. Not been to Ross or Elgin from that wee list.

Also not been to Celtic, Cowdenbeath, East Fife, St Mirren, Partick, QoS, Stranraer, Arbroath or Berwick

Have been to Hampden but not for a Queen's Park game

Not been to Inverness, Dundee United (those 2 might change next season), Arbroath, Montrose, Stirling Albion, Edinburgh City or Clyde.

Relying on a lot of away cup draws to finish the SPFL, unless one of the HL/LL teams come up that isn't Spartans or East Stirling.

Gary Bollan is meant to be a strong favourite for the Raith manager's job.

Not a bad shout for them. Step up for him in terms of club size and more likely to get him as a step up than Hartley who probably won't want to go below 2nd tier

Indeed Orco, and it was mainly downhill from the moment he was punted.

Charlie Telfer, Coll Donaldson and Tony Andreu all aiming for promotion with Dundee Utd at Hamilton today. 0-0 so far, Andreu looking very lively so far.

And United stay in the Championship playing hoofball and not really looking anywhere near a coherent team... If they retain the majority of that squad I would seriously fancy our chances against them next season. Sadly, I think Keatings and King will turn out to be cracking signings for this level.

Both my tips in the play offs fell at the last hurdle.

Accies are a sore on the eyes team to watch with their time wasting antics and brutal style of football but Utd didn't get the ball down and run at them, and made it easy for Accies to defend, with diagonal balls and very poor set piece deliveries. Andreu is a much better player than what he showed in those play offs but he was never utilised in a position to hurt teams, played far too deep in games.

Doubt many of those Utd players will still be there next season, sadly for us I think they'll be a lot stronger, which is partly the reason I hoped they'd go up.

Did I not read recently that Dundee United are fragile financially. Staying down a second season will not be helping here.

By all accounts their budget will be cut by quite a margin, you wouldn't think it given the two pre-contract signings they've made, though. Watched them against Falkirk and this week against Hamilton, whether McKinnon is attempting to play to their strengths by going route one all the time, I don't know. Proof will be if he can assemble a squad of players this summer to play a different style, otherwise he'll be getting punted early doors I think.

They'll be able to punt all the players that were on contracts from their relegation team now though, and going by the 2 players McKinnon has got on PC's they'll have a better calibre of player than they currently have.

Keatings has won promotion with three different sides but never goes up with them... Strange that.

A bit like Bingo until he came to Livi, and then finally got to play in the top league with us. Maybe we should get Keatings for the next again season. Laughing

He would be a decent signing for anyone at the level.
