Re: The ex-Lions thread
Not if he keeps up that attitude but having got the move from us to QPR it maybe went to his head a bit. I'd like to think the Arabs would bring him down a peg or two & get his head right for making positive career progress; so a good move for him

Didn't take Talbot long. I see he was sent off today in a friendly against Hibs.

Re: The ex-Lions thread
Must've been some tackle for a sending off in a friendly, seen some of the things Motherwell got away with before one of their players finally got a yellow. It was like they had immunity against being booked so just took the piss with their tackling from behind, barging, two handed pushing and generally ripping it out of the ref taunting him to book them. Fecker actually looked shocked when he got a yellow for his taking Glen out tackle.

Re: The ex-Lions thread
Just saw it on Sky... He gets his foot to ball first but it's the top of the ball, so it looks like an over the ball tackle but if he touched Malonga at all then he barely touched him, and he didn't even fall over, but kept on running for a few steps then turned round and wagged his finger at JT. IMO it was a reputation red card.

On a similar note, Callum Fordyce has been named their captain next season which I find bizarre.
It would be bloody hilarious if they muck it up again.

Ooft Paul Watson signs for Falkirk, that's going to be a tasty fixture this season with his rep for giving it large to Livi fans and us struggling to get anything from them.

Re: The ex-Lions thread
Dumbarton signing Stevie Craig, he frustrated the shit out of me at times missing a hell of a lot of chances but he still scored a decent amount of goals at this level. Hopefully he's slowed down with age and wont be as much of a threat.

Re: The ex-Lions thread
He had a chance to score for Wycombe at Wembley in the play off final but unsurprisingly failed to do so, it would probably have won them the game had he scored.
He is older, probably a touch wiser and no doubt a bit slower than he was with us, can't see him being too much of a threat TBH (watch him get a hat trick against us now!)

Interesting to hear Calum Elliot say that Raith should do the "morally" right thing:
http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/raith-rovers/1323259-warning-for-players-as-calum-elliot-left-in-injury-limbo-by-contract-expiry/
Also hear he has now retire from football altogether but that might be a bit premature.

Re: The ex-Lions thread
Andy Halliday hahaha. Highest level he played with us was 3rd division, didn't finish as our top scorer never mind the leagues top scorer. Went to England, failed repeatedly, came crawling back up where the media have a massive knob-on for him purely because he loves Rangers. He's a less talented and more ambitionless version of Rafa De Vita. How many goals will he score this season in the league? 8? 9?
Never rated him too highly and certainly don't now. Good luck to players like Snodgrass, Dorrans, Scougall etc who have talent and a bit of ambition. Halliday? No chance.

You may have a point or two there Lexi but his goal yesterday v Hibs was a cracker.

Paul Watson taking number 44 like Craig Barr did with 55 at Raif.
What a gimp.

Re: The ex-Lions thread
Scouggs only made the bench for Sheffield United today and no sign of McNulty, perhaps the latter is injured... But I can't help wondering if the new manager maybe doesn't rate them as highly as Clough did.

Re: The ex-Lions thread
McNulty scored in midweek I think; Denholm & Travis were both on the scoresheet for Forfar recently as well.
