Agreed; 2 of the best three players at the club that season they were with us...and I think the other one was Russell and he's gone too.

Actually think Andreu was better than Scougall when they both played for Livi, Toni had flare to turn players inside out AND scored plenty goals from midfield, something I always thought Scougs lacked with us. With Scougs def going to another team it was stupid to let Andreu go.

It really bugs me when we let Andreu and Beany leave as I'm pretty sure we'd have been in the top 4 had we kept them and made a lot more from keeping them than what was saved from their wages letting them go. Wouldn't surprise me if that was another great decision made by Nixon.

Andreu's goals last season kept Accies in contention for 1st place in the first half of the season when Accies lacked a goal scoring striker, and his goal against Hibs got them promotion. Looks like he's a major part of them being top of the league this season too.

It's more depressing that we replaced Andreu with Kyle fucking Wilkie.

My suspicion is that all the key players who left at the end of the 2012/2013 would've stayed had Collins stayed as DoF and Evans as manager. Those plus DJ, Mensing, Keaghan, Scougall and McNulty would've given us a brilliant squad.

Both contributed to the Blades win today. Scougall got a player sent off after being fouled, lucky another didn't suffer the same fate after grabbing him and doing a judo throw on the wee man off the ball right in front of the ref, how that didn't get a card I don't know.

McNulty scored their 2nd in their 2-0 win.

Noticed the other day that Livi tweeted about Andy Halliday's loan move to Bradford. According to Soccerbase, he's made around 40 appearances since he moved there almost 5 years ago. To be honest he looks like the sort of footballer who's more than happy to rot in their reserves, pick up his wages and make no further progress in his career.

No doubt he'll be released at the end of this season and sign up for St Mirren or Kilmarnock.

Sparky scored the goal that puts the Blades in the semi final of the league cup with a 1-0 win over Southampton. Good to see he's having the same start as Scougs did, both of them are doing well down there.

Could be playing in the Premiership next season then, and still gets ignored by Scotland for a call up. McLeod gets one and was said to be the best young talent that's emerged in years, just because he plays for Sevco (in the Championship), fecking joke.

Hopefully Scougall and McNulty get a move away Sheff U soon. Bit of a dingy club I have no time for. Shit in the league and punch above their weight in the cups. I remember what their fans were saying when they signed Scougall: 'too much Scotch' and 'we have too many useless Scottish players' spring to mind. Oh how the tables have turned.

    Daft English cunts.

Actually, they were won over by his tenacity & talent as soon as he made his debut. And one or two popped up on the dear departed Livilions forum to ask our opinions of him...so maybe daft is out of order. Wink

McNulty scored the opening goal at Loftus Road as Sheff U once again perform cup heroics with a 3-0 thrashing of QPR. Scougall also played

You don't know what you have until you lose it, by feck we could do with McNulty this season.

The Blades are having some great cup runs, QPR's record in the cup is atrocious though.
It means the Premier League side have now won only two FA Cup matches in the last 14 seasons and have suffered 46 third-round losses out of 70 ties.

Crazy to see Tony Andreu sitting top of the goal scoring charts in the SPL and three ahead of the second placed players, Ciftci and Rooney.

Spurs v Sheffield game on sky just now, doing well so far, 0-0, Scougs just had a chance there. Lots of possession for Spurs but have been limited to getting near Utd's goal, good defending.

    HT 0-0 mon the Blades.

Blades hand balled for a pen, Spurs 1-0 up now. Tons of Spurs possession but really didn't look like scoring til the dafty gave the pen away. Been excellent at playing them off side too.

McNulty been subbed, had a hard shift being up there himself all game doing a lot of running. Wee Scougs has had a good game.

If they can keep it at 1-0 it will have been a good result to take them back home in the 2nd leg.

Scougs just been subbed now too, 3 mins to go.

That's it 1-0, good result for Sheffield, unlucky giving away the pen as was no way Spurs were scoring in that game. 2nd leg is still all to play for anyway.

Just watching the highlights of the English games and Andy scored Bradford's 3rd goal against Chelsea to put them 3-2 up after being 2-0 behind, excellent goal too. Bradford won 4-2 to knock Chelsea oot the cup.

Heard that he scored seconds after it happened; radio announced that Bradford had gone ahead & my lad yelled (having been looking at the SkySports app) "Andy Halliday!"
