Interesting piece on Jamie McAllister's time in India. Had no idea he was over there and by all accounts he seems to have done not bad, finishing runner-up in their play-offs.

Or not according to the club...all very strange; if it is a PCA then why deny any contact?

Callum Carson saying on Twitter that we tried to sign him. Gutted that we didn't manage to in the end, always enjoyed seeing him in an AM shirt.

Paul Lambert getting the sack. I show no sympathy for the man.

Re: The ex-Lions thread
He has certainly been in line for it in recent weeks, this has been his worst run since he was with us & actually began to look & sound the same as he did when he was here & didn't have a clue.
Not sure how he managed to turn his fortunes around when he went south but he has had a fairly decent run until taking over at Villa.
Not sure I like your avatar LiviCub; while amusing it seems a tad biased against JT

Re: The ex-Lions thread
Aye Lambert's usually made a move when he's been on top, he reached his peak signing for an EPL team though and prob stayed too long in the job this time round.
Managerial merry go round at times with managers being sacked then getting a job at another team, Steve Bruce for example has done the rounds.
It'll be the first time since he left Livi that he isn't in a strong position applying for another managerial job, might have to take a step down this time to try and build himself back up to a big move. Not sure I'd want to take him on though as he's shown he'll be off the minute some other club in a higher league bats their eyelids at him.

He clearly had a point to prove when we sacked him and it was big gamble by Wycombe to take in a manager who only won two games out of twenty-odd. His stock went up from there but I think he needs to drop down a division or two for a reality check to realise where he's gone wrong and to show everyone he's at least a decent manager.
Sometimes managers and clubs are a match made in heaven and that was the case with Norwich, he should never have left them as the only way seemed to be up.

Christ, I'd forgot how big his bloody chin was. Great guy though, and a great player.
Rubio in his prime alongside Decy Gallagher at centre half would be a total dreamboat pairing.

Rab Douglas has made it into the League 1 team of the year along with Bobby Barr, and Big Marv is in the League 2 team of the year.

Norwich
I see 3 of our ex players are in the Norwich team this season, Andreu, Dorrans and Hoolihan. In the Championship promotion play offs against Ipswich this Sat.
Sheff Utd play Swindon on Thurs in the League One play off first round too, wishing them and Norwich good luck with 5 ex players involved at both clubs.

Bobby Barr signs for Morton, always liked him as a player now up against Livi!
