I see Halkett sat on the subs bench all game against Utd in their Betfred cup game. Any chance of us getting him back on loan?

Idiots. He is already a better player than Berra & Soutar- if they had him playing for them in the cup final I am confident that the winning goal wouldn’t have happened.

So they left out the only player in their squad that made last years premiership team of the year. I'd be going for a centre back pairing of Soutar and Halkett for Hearts. I also see shankland got his Dundee United goal scoring tally started. I'd have loved him to have came to Livi

Yeah, he was a goal machine for Ayr until he lost interest... bit like Hardie for us.

Watched the Betfred cup Motherwell v Morton game last night, a few of ex Lions in their teams, and Hoppy as Morton's manager, Dec, Kyle Jacobs, and Nicky Cadden.

Ended with Motherwell cruising it, and big Dec having a great game, cigar out in defence for him and doing his usual strolling up the pitch to put in a great long pass.

Hoppy has his work cut out going on that game, completely toothless up front, Cadden looked out of his depth against Premiership players too, def the right move for us letting him go.
Kyle was his usual mad self, jumping in with a mental tackle. Lucky for him it was Wullie Collum in charge, and he was still operating with an anything goes policy, keeping his cards in his pocket.

I see Toddy, big shags White, and Coll Donaldson all scored for ICT today.

Not an ex Lion but out on loan to Partick Th, Raffa got the last 21 mins of their draw with Accies today, then missed a pen for them for Accies to win the shoot out, oops. lol!

Craig Halkett with another 2 goals for Hearts in their 2-1 win over Cowdenbeath tonight. That's 3 goals in the Betfred cup games and he didn't play in their first game.

Supposedly Levein's rotating Halkett, Berra and Souttar in the cup games. If he's going to continue doing that into the league he'd be better just rotating the other two and keeping Halkett in the team every game.

He’d be better doing that regardless of the scoring threat. He’d be better making him captain as well.

Josh McMullin having a fantastic start for County in the Premiership, read he their best player yesterday, he's come on as much as Pittman since we signed him.

No Craig Halkett in Steve Clarke's Scotland squad then, apparently needs to see more of him playing at Hearts before picking him. Yeah right enough Steve, Craig was only the best CB in the Premiership last season at Livi, but you wouldn't have noticed that, expected better from Clarke tbh.

Even Hearts fans rate Halkett better than Souttar, and Souttar would be in Clarke's squad if he wasn't injured.

And Kelly not their either - admittedly he's not fought his way into the first team yet, with the exception of a cup match, but he was one of the best keepers in the league last season.

Also interesting to see that from the entire squad; the ones actually playing in Scotland and excluding the Old firm there's only Stephen Naismith and two Killie players who are simply not performing at the moment.

This added to two players fro (everybody Beats) Wigan; makes the exclusion of Halkett and others even more baffling.

Yeah and I wonder just how much he's seen of Johnny Russell playing for Sporting Kansas City?

Good luck to Dec, he was far too good a player when he signed for us playing in the Championship and League One, but his off field troubles were our good fortune in giving him a place to play where he wouldn't get any hassles. It worked out well for both parties, and he's prob one of the best defenders in the Premiership so why not be given a Scotland call up.

Just notice Ryan Hardie has had a less than auspicious start with Blackpool. He doesn't seem to have appeared for the first team since September (although he's been on the bench) and he hasn't scored one goal for them in the league.

I wonder if he'd fancy a third spell at the vale - although I suspect we couldn't afford him now.

The thought of him playing along side Dykes though.... hummmm
