I would have expected him to receive Millen's old number 2 shirt unless we already have someone else in mind for that?

Incidentally does anyone know if Moses Duckrell has actually been on the bench in a competitive match? I thought he had but cant find it and other than the friendly against Real Sociadad I dont think he's been around at all.

Yep pretty sure Moses has been an unused sub, will have a quick swatch to see if I can see when that was.

Was on the bench at Ibrox in the 1-0 defeat, and the week before when we lost 1-0 to St Mirren. He's been on the bench in other games earlier in between times he's been injured but you can go look through the games yourself if you're that interested in which ones.

Said in the article they were on the brink of signing him, it is an on loan deal though so we're not releasing him yet. May as well get himself some game time as he'd just be sitting around at Livi with DJ and McCallum being our first 2 choices.

Apparently a English Premier side are ready to bid for Matthew Knox. Hopefully we get a good amount of money for him if we sell him rather than let him go for nothing.

He is being badly advised if he goes ahead with this move.

Good business for us if we can sell him but agree with Bertie, for his development he'd be better sticking with us until he's had at least one season playing regular first team football. May get that chance next season after a bit of patiently bringing him along this season. Prob 2 seasons away from getting a regular start with us though.

Col Donaldson, and there was another one a few years further back, (Joe McKee?) that was sold early in his development and didn't make it. Think he's floating around the SPFL lower leagues just now, may have been at St Mirren and Morton. These young players go to a bigger team and never really get a chance, then end up being lower league journeymen.

I think we're after a quick turnover of young players to make a quick buck though.

More interested in Esposito, not heard a thing about him this month despite him supposedly signing back in November/December. Hopkin didn't fancy him so called the deal off? Injured? Clearance not through yet? Just shite?

Apparently Ollie Durojaiye is on the verge of signing, the former Falkirk player. Not a winger. Another centre mid.

Need fecking wingers, if we go 5 in midfield and 1 up front then we need 2 of the midfielders to be wingers so they can get balls into the front player from the flanks. As Opposed to 5 in midfield and lumping balls over the top for the lone striker to chase.

All we have is a LB getting down the left wing and feckall on the right, well feckall accept Glen trying to be a winger and Neill/Gallagher acting as  wing backs.

Would also give us a tactical change, as the only tactical change we have just now is 3-5-2/5-3-2 or 4-4-2. 4-5-1 clearly hasn't worked but with two wingers it might, could be a good switch 2nd half if we're a goal up and switching to 4-5-1 to hit teams on the counter and killing them off.

Loved it when we used to let teams come at us and score on the counter, we ripped Raith to bits all season doing that with Keaghan and Bobby breaking up the pitch.

Thought we already had wiongers in the form of Glen; Hippolyte; Georgiev and Duckrall are all wingers whilst Mullen and Stanton have played there before.

Glen is a striker (yes I know, but that is his actual position) who is decent-ish at CM, when he can be arsed. No way is he a winger though, and certainly not one with pace.

Hippo is decent as a winger, think it is his best position, when he can be arsed. Fact is Hopkin isn't even playing him, or having him in the team sheet now, so looks like he's been sent to Coventry.

Georgiev is also out of our plans, he's been out longer than Hippo, looked lightweight but not really had the chance to show us one way or another if he's any use.

Mullen, another striker, can play on the wing, but he aint a proper winger and neither is Stanton. Would just love to see us signing a proper winger that has pace and will bomb down the wing and get a ball across for White to attack.
Duckrell is this season's 'mr invisible' either injured or at best a sub, who knows if he'd be any good, we've not seen him play a competitive game to find out.

From what Falkirk fans on P&B are saying he's a big brute of a player that isn't very good with the ball but was MOTM in a few games, bad news is those good games are few and far between, another inconsistent player for our inconsistent team?

If he goes in the defensive midfield along with Fozzy and shores it up, it would perhaps mean Stanton and Pittman could push up field to support White and Buchanan more. Would still like to see at least one pacey winger come in though.


In games against Raith, QoS, St Mirren etc, when we're being attacked then what we've got just now can get at their goal. However we've nothing as a plan 'B' when we play Morton, Alloa, and Dumbarton, or even Falkirk for that matter, when defensively they're stubborn and we can't go through the middle. Just get a winger signed and get balls in from the bye line against those teams and we'll get goals against them.

Also, I suspect Alloa will be murder at their own patch now they've taken a few metres off it, to make it easier for them to defend, we better get a player in that can get in behind them or I doubt we'll get a goal there. Games against them are of a huge importance for us, really can't afford to lose to them again.

I wouldn't get your hopes up about Esposito. 1 - he might not even sign and 2 - a couple of the players have said he's nothing special.

They are all shite, but when a shite player identifies another shite player, they usually know what they are talking about.

Or they are talking down the other guy because they need to give the impression they are better.

We've not got any Scougall's, McNulty's, or any something special players though, i'd be happy with a something ok player.

Man United interested in Knox now, looks like he's on trial.

No offers made but with the way things are going we could probably see him leave this month.

Might be best for us if he gets sold soon, he's been stuck into games purely to try and get him in the shop window for these teams, it put paid to any chance we had against Morton, as we should've brought on Hippo and gave it a go at equalising.

David Hopkin says he would look to bring back the Development League team at Livi next season if he stays on as boss. An absolute must IMO.

That would be a positive move by Hopkin, irrespective if he's still manager we should be doing that, if it doesn't work out for him then why not have him as assistant manager and/or Development team coach.
