Good start from Hopkin getting two good players for this level in. If Walsh comes in and we get rid of some of the deadwood I'd be pretty happy with that.

Anyway, good stuff from Hopkin if we're getting Stanton and Walsh, hopefully we won't be paying their wages though, would imagine Hibs and Rangers pay a bit more than we can. Pleased so far, hopefully still be pleased in a few weeks if we can get some wins.
Are either of them cup tied?
Wonder if they'll be allowed to play against their own club, we've sevco next in the league after our cup game this weekend.
Rangers and Hibs both entered this round, so I'd imagine the pair of them are fine, barring any suspensions carried over from last season, which seems doubtful.
Good stuff, hopefully Esposito is still signing too and we'll at last have pace going down both wings, and will be able to work overlaps between wing backs and wingers too, so we can get ball in behind the oppositions defence from the bye line.
..............................................McCallum/DJ
Longridge ................Gallagher............Gordon...................Esposito
Stanton......................Pittman.................Fozzy....................Walsh
....................................Buchanan............White
Something like that, don't know what side Walsh and Stanton play on but hopefully it isn't the same one.
Bench: DJ/Quinn, Neill, Gibbons, Glen, Sheerin, Mullen, Currie
Decent options and a full selection from the bench for a change too. No excuses from Hopkin about having just young lads and little options to choose from.

What? No Hippo on the bench? Have you been swayed by the Hippo Haters?

Re: Transfer Rumours, Players In/Out
Nope, he was mince coming on against QoS, if he can't come on and make an impression he goes down the pecking order. Mullen was keech too but he's coming back from injury so gets a pass for now.
Hippo just does my box in being so inconsistent.

Bobby Barr must've given him some copies.

Marc McCallum has left Dundee Utd by mutual agreement, so we wont be getting him back on loan. If he's coming back it will have to be as a signing.

Re: Transfer Rumours, Players In/Out
Wouldn't mind signing him tbh, as long as he wouldn't be on a lot. Not too confident with Jamieson, and unless we're recalling Gould we'll probably need someone else in anyway as back up.

Re: Transfer Rumours, Players In/Out
Maybe we should play Quinn seen as how we're giving youth a chance.
Not sure what the deal is with Gould, another signing that isn't being played, and is meant to be our No 2 keeper.

Re: Transfer Rumours, Players In/Out
Certainly looks like Burchill ended up signing some guys to fill a shirt rather than on talent given that Gould & Duckrell have never played (pity about Moses, could have given rise to "feed the duck and he will score"), while Georgiev has hardly played.

Re: Transfer Rumours, Players In/Out
Gould was only signed as a last resort because Burchill couldn't get an experienced back-up keeper. He (Gould) was that desperate for a contract that he's on a youth player wage which Burchill obviously took up.
Anyway, nothing marginally different between DJ and McCallum but DJ has been poor all season, much like the majority of his team mates.

Wouldn't be too fussed letting go of Millen. He was tatties anyway and would much rather have Dec or Morgan in right back.
Everyone has forgotten about Craig Sives as well, still injured apparently but another one id ditch

McCallum signed until the end of the season and Millen released.

Re: Transfer Rumours, Players In/Out
Can't say I'm disappointed about Millen. I'd ditch Sives, Glen, Cole & Spas as well (still want to see Moses get a chance), and bring in another backup defender on the cheap from juniors/ free agent.

Re: Transfer Rumours, Players In/Out
Worryingly the only defensive cover we have from the first team is Sives and Col; both of whom are long-term injured.
Hopefully we're going to be bringing in another defender soon as both Gordon and Longridge must be getting close to the auto ban trip wire.

Don't forget that Gallagher could be off to the clink soon as well.

Re: Transfer Rumours, Players In/Out
If we can clear out a few more of the dead wood players we'd be able to bring in more like Fozzy and Stanton, ones that show some energy and desire, which lifts all the others around them too.
Actually with Fozzy in the team as playmaker I wouldn't mind seeing Hippo get a game, would be interesting to see if he'd thrive with Fozzy looking for players to make runs for his long through balls. Could be ideal for him getting balls like that to run onto, or played to his feet.

Always a pleasure.
The positive thing here is that Hopkin isn't sitting on his arse here, he's getting rid of the dross and bringing in players to try and freshen up the team and do something.
The negative things are the Big Dec could be back behind bars by the end of the month and Esposito is in International Clearance Limbo, couple this with the injuries to Cole and Sives and we are looking very threadbare at the back atm.

Re: Transfer Rumours, Players In/Out
The two to have gone both left by mutual consent however I take the point - important to get quality in rather yet more stop-gaps.
I'm hoping you're wrong about Gallagher; I appreciate its a serious risk but I'm hoping they would only have let him out on license if it was felt that the conviction or sentence was considered unsafe.

From Callum Carson:
Livingston have signed 20-year-old defender Craig Halkett until the end of the season following his release from Rangers.
