Just notice Charlie Telfer has been given squad number 30; that was the squad number originally reserved for the Australian lad

Esposito has signed and has been here for a few weeks but just hasn't got his international clearance yet.

Re: Transfer Rumours, Players In/Out
His international clearance would've come through in Jan, he wasn't officially signed until then. Didn't see anything about him after Hopkin took over though so didn't look like he was in his plans.
Rumour on P&B that Falkirk are signing Hippo today. Another player that isn't in Hopkin's plans so wouldn't surprise me if this is true. He's been a luxury player for us this season, will be interesting to see how Houston gets on with him, he doesn't strike me as a manager that will put up with any nonsense.

Re: Transfer Rumours, Players In/Out
Can't say I'm disappointed about Hippo.. poor attitude with us this season and won't be missed.
Strong team starting to take shape for the rest of the season...
.................Mccallum/DJ
Kakay... Gallagher.... Gordon/ Halkett...Longridge
TBC....................Fozzy......................Stanton
.....................Pittman/ Telfer
................TBC.........White/ Buchanan
Be happy with a right winger and striker now, maybe get rid of some of the deadwood... Spas/ Cole/ Glen etc.

Boy definitely had talent, just couldn't be arsed to use it.
Wonder how much we got for him, and if we'll get anything when he inevitably signs for Swansea.

Five game wonder and consistent sand dancer. Thankfully one of them five was our biggest game in 10 years.
Dumbarton away pretty much ended his career with us.

Good luck to the lad, he'll need to knuckle down or he'll be sitting warming the Falkirk bench too. Great that we got some money out of the deal too though.

Re: Transfer Rumours, Players In/Out
Disappointed to see him go, he was instrumental in the successful Petrofac Cup run and MotM in the final and played a big part in the great escape run-in. IMO he was under utilised this season as he needs a consistent run of games to bring out his best. Grossly underrated by most of you above (LF I'll give you a pass on that as while you have been more critical of late you have previously indicated an appreciation for his talents).
I think this a very good move for him though as he strikes me as the kind of player Falkirk get the best out of. Certainly wouldn't be surprised to see him sticking it to us next time we face the Bairns.

Re: Transfer Rumours, Players In/Out
He'll get it stuck to him from our fans anyway so plenty encouragement for him to give it back to them by scoring a goal against us. He doesn't handle criticism well though, the St Mirren fans got to him earlier in the season, and if he's put under pressure from players he lashes out at them (Dumbarton).
He certainly has talent, but there is just something missing in his game that stops him from fulfilling it, if it wasn't there he wouldn't have come to Livi in the first place and it is likely to stop him going any higher than this sort of level. Maybe just needs the right man manager to get the best out of him, someone who can give the right amount of encouragement and patience, Hopkin wasn't that man.

He will, almost certainly come back to haunt us. Always happens. Usually the crap we offload go on to be successes elsewhere.

Re: Transfer Rumours, Players In/Out
Hippo had so much potential but unfortunatly failed to fullfill it with us.We got the odd glimpse of what he he could do but possibly the minor cult status he had in his earlier time with us didnt do him any favours as he he probably thought he was bigger than the club.Anyways good luck to him,i think hes gonna need it working under Houston.

Duckrell released, who's surprised? Would expect Spas to be next.

Re: Transfer Rumours, Players In/Out
I actually thought Georgiev was a far better player than Gary Glen to be honest; difference being that Glen at least gets some game time.
Don't know what to make of Duckrell; he was really excited when he joined but after that he hardly ever mentioned Livingston on his facebook page and seemed pretty uninterested. From the three or four touches he had in the Real match before going off injured he looked like he had some skill but then.... nothing.

Duckrell will go down in history as one of those answers to a pub quiz question alongside David Luongo and Pascal Nouma.
Surprised it's taken 31 days of the transfer window for him to get the heave-ho, let alone 5 months into the season.

Can't forget Curtis Jones, played one friendly where he scored an OG and left a couple of months later...

10 points each, gentlemen. Well remembered!
Scougall, interestingly, could be off to St Johnstone or Hibs. Apparently we're due a cut of 10% of any fee if it's a permanent move.

Re: Transfer Rumours, Players In/Out
Disappointing that Scougall is coming back to a Scottish club, both for him and us. It is a step backwards for his career, even worse than Halliday's, esp as Scougall is so much better than that. We wont get much out of a low transfer fee either if it becomes permanent.
I'd rather he had done what McNulty has and stepped down a league to an English club on loan, got them promoted and hopefully make it a permanent move down there. Then look to follow Dorrans and Snodgrass's example and get a move to play in the English Championship and eventually the English Premiership.
Where does he go from Hibs or St Johnstone, one of the bigot brothers, dead end career move.

Re: Transfer Rumours, Players In/Out
Gibbons could be going to Cowdenbeath on loan apparently, bit of a weird one if that's true, good enough for the Championship.
Confirmed now, good signing for them.
