He's moved out of the team with all the loan signings so at least gives him games to keep up his fitness. Good signing for whoever gets him.

Yep it's on the OS twitter now, gone to Cowden on loan.

Exciting stuff for a change this transfer deadline day, normally we're not involved, but with a couple of more players due to come in and some leaving it is exciting.

We've approached Rangers for a loan deal for Nicky Clark.

Disappointed that Gibbons has gone albeit temporarily for now; he has been one of our better performers if a little naïve at times.

Nicky Clark....was reasonable at his previous club & wasted at the Huns like most players that go there. Would be a chance for him to get back on track but then we'd have to create chances for him

    Woopee doo.

Will he be any better than what we've got, imo it's more a case of Hopkin needing to stop putting Mullen as our main striker through the centre and get back to White and Buchanan up front with Mullen on the wing.
With our new look midfield, and Kakay getting to the bye line, we'll feed them with a lot more chances than they've been previously getting. Just need a run of games playing the same players in their correct position and the goals will come.

It is more than half way through the season and we're still messing about with players getting put in strange positions, neither wonder we can't get any consistency in our performances.

Gibbons first game for Cowden will be against Faria's Airdrie, Faria got preference over him at Livi, bit of incentive to get stuck right in there. Laughing

Would've rather we kept Gibbons and got rid of Glen + Spas, but suppose there's time yet...

Nicky Clark great deal if true!

Josh Mullin from Albion Rovers has been signed. Hard to believe we're actually spending money on players, hopefully he isn't shite.

A defender who's excelled as a speedy right winger, yayyyyyyyyyyy we've got pace and players that will get down the wings.

Georgiev joins Albion Rovers on loan for the rest of the season, guessing that was part of the Mullin deal.

Looks like that's it for tonight, still looking for free agents/loans though, but those can be done after the transfer deadline.

Like you I'm not overly excited by it but ha scored approx 1 every 2 games for QoS, which is a better record than the current strikers at the club but he's gone off the boil at Hunbrox

Josh Mullin? 2 year deal? Why did we bother getting in 2 other defenders on loan then?

Yeah that was in League 1/old 1st div he scored all those goals with QoS, White scored around 25 goals for Stirling Albion, you can aprox half that in the Championship.

Mullin has been moved into the right wing for Rovers and has been very good there, like McPake moving from striker to CB. Doubt he'll be signed to play in defence, will be playing on the wing, is meant to be really fast too so hopefully he has an end product (Bobby Barr anybody?).

Halkett/Kakay on the right as wing back, Josh Mullin on the wing for overlaps down the flank.

Kakay/Longridge on the left as wing back, with Danny Mullen on the left wing to work overlaps.

That would give us width and player down both flanks to hit the bye line. Just need Hopkin to stick White and Buchanan in the centre of attack to get fed balls inside the box.

Kakay is versatile and plays on both RB and LB position so gives us options for Halkett and Longridge to play on opposite side with him.

You really think too highly of Mullen...he's never overlapped in his life...he always cuts inside and sometimes gets a shot in, scores less frequently than that but mainly runs in to someone, falls over and loses the ball

He played in Buchanan for his goal away to St Mirren, you just don't want to see what he can do. Now we've actually got players that can work overlaps there is no reason we can't do them. Gallagher has tried to get up for an overlap, did a run to get the ball back away to Morton but Faria cut back the way and didn't give him it. Kakay gave Gallagher the ball for an overlap against Dumbarton though, what a difference he's going to make to our team.

LF I'm not "not seeing what he can do" - of course he CAN do it, he just doesn't do it often enough. I've seen him link up superbly to help set up a goal, I've seen him score crackers as well as some scrappy ones and some lucky ones - it's because I know what he is capable of that he is so frustrating. Too often he holds onto it too long, or he makes the wrong run, or he attempts the wrong pass, he rarely goes up the wing beyond 30 yards from goal, almost invariably cutting inside instead, running into "traffic" and losing the ball, and he rarely wins free kicks anymore as refs think he goes over too easily even when he IS fouled.

And yes I know they are all capable of more than they are producing but Mullen needs to start realising his potential before it's too late.

Yeah, what i'm saying/thinking/hoping is, with the players that we've signed to go down the wing i'd stick Mullen on one of the wings with one of them to overlap with him, and hopefully now he's got someone to help him out he'll use him.

I agree he should pass sometimes when he gets to the 18 yard box but tries to take on one player too much and loses the ball, but too often Mullen has no option but to go it alone because nobody is making runs off the ball to help him.

Wait and see, you'll end up defending him when it gets to the stage that I've changed my mind and lost patience with him. lol!

Apparently our wage bill has decreased after the Jan transfer deals, great news if true, better quality players in and for less money.

For all those wondering where all the money is coming from for Livi to sign players..it hasn't. I'm told wage bill has decreased during Jan.

Id imagine Hugo was on a bit of money at Livi, perhaps Hippo as well. So with those 2 gone and bringing in loan players with possibly the agreement that the parent club pays the wages we will be quids in just now.

Agreed LF; although reading what the appeal was based on I am not surprised by the outcome; I did think there was something more to it than is being reported.

No doubt if we do try to get him back there will be a major hue & cry from the usual corner who thought we were wrong to offer him a deal while the appeal was still to be heard.

Liam Coogans is on trial with us, wonder if he'll get a sub appearance against Dumbarton.

    http://www.deadlinenews.co.uk/2016/03/03/livingston-trial-for-ex-huddersfield-town-and-airdrie-striker/

Livingston are weighing up a move for former Airdrie and Huddersfield Town striker Liam Coogans.
