Big mistake by us not selling him to Sevco, unless that story/rumour was made up shite by his dad to his DR pal too.

Speaking of potential young Livi talents, always thought Dylan Easton had the makings of a good player, but ended up signing for St Johnstone, only to be loaned out to various lower league clubs, and ending up a lower league One & Two journeyman
    .

With the right mentor and a bit of understanding while he was going through those awkward teenage years he might have made it big in the game. He certainly had the talent. However he seems to be doing ok just now with Airdrie.

Surprised he hasn't ended up at Cove, the very definition of a lower league journeyman club, absolutely brimming with them. Must pay good wages too if Rory McAllister was prized away from Peterhead.

DJ did well to get himself signed up with a big spending lower league club though, Kelty Hearts, the modern day Gretna coming up from League Two, and will no doubt be up there pushing for a Championship place next season, keeping Falkirk down yet again. lol!

Busy few days for ex Livi players. Kenny Miller gets his car set on fire and Mark Fotheringham becomes the Hertha Berlin assistant manager!

Craig Halkett finally getting a call up into the Scotland squad, bad luck for him getting injured after moving to Hearts, which knackered an earlier call up, and Dec got called up instead, but it's pretty much went downhill for him after one good season at Motherwell, got a good move to Aberdeen but by all accounts has been poor. Craig is a good solid defender though and deserves his international call up.

Unreal we had both of them at Livi for so long, and Lithgow really stepped up his game too, all 3 were immense for us.

I loved that defensive trio. I always felt confident they could deal with any attacks and they chipped in with their fair share of goals too. Good memories.

Yeah those three were pillars for us. Halkett & Gallagher should have been called up when they were here but that is such a rarity since the days of McNamee.

Adam Lewis signs for Newport on loan.  Decent player, no pace, gave away the corner that led to Lamie's goal against Motherwell.  Good luck to him  The ex-Lions thread - Page 25 1f610

Dave Mackay joins James McPake at Dunfermline as Assistant Manager.

He's not the same player he was at Livi, had a good first season at Motherwell then went right off the boil, even worse at Aberdeen. Maybe missing Halkett's calming influence, and covering for his defensive mistakes too.

Don't think i'd want him back, it would spoil the memory of his time with us the first time round.

I see the holier than thou St Mirren fan that came on our P&B thread giving us a hard time over signing Lithgow & Gallagher, and employing Martindale, is ok about Gallagher signing for them though. Laughing

They've got another one that isn't right enough, a lock them up and throw away the key type.

Craig Sibbald to Dundee United. 🙁 Good footballer I was sorry to see leave.
Nicky Cadden from Forest Green Rovers to Barnsley. Sounds like a decent move for him.

Technically it sounds like a good move for Cadden but he had just won promotion with FGR and I am pretty sure Barnsley were relegated to the same division… he’s possibly been missing eating meat, what with FGR being a vegan club.

Yeah, shame Sibbs left but he is at a stage in his career where he needs to get game time… no guarantee he will at United but a change was probably right for his career.

Sibbald had a really bad season with covid and injuries, his asthma combined with covid really knackered him. Maybe a fresh start with Utd will do him good, i wish him well anyway, good player and good guy.

Cadden is a funny one, there was something lacking in his game when at Livi, never had the ability to get past players down the wing once opposition players worked out how to beat him, maybe he improved at Forrest Green, or they just aren't as physical at closing him down as up here. Done well for himself though, didn't think he had it in him.

Yeh,I wish Sibbs all the best.Cracking wee player and always gave 100% despite his health issues. Cadden has done really well down there.Whatched him a few times tail end of the season for FGR,he stood out and got a few awards from them.Good luck to both of them.🦁👍.

Funnily enough I originally preferred Cadden to Mullin but saw early on (against Edinburgh at Meadowbank) that Cadden was a bit shy when a tackle was looming. That didn’t improve with us while Mullin kicked on to show good delivery even if he lacked Cadden’s pace. Cadden has improved immensely down south though.

Glad he's gone to them and not Motherwell, although the latter beat us and Hearts didn't, Hearts will finish above us, and i see Motherwell as more of a rival that we can be above.

Better still would've been him signing for Livi right enough, but you wonder if he'd fit into our team, that is all about workrate, don't know how much Snoddy has in his old legs these days.

Hard to believe he made his debut for us as a sixteen year old 19 years ago. Pearse Flynn allowed him to go for development money. I shouted for him to be given a new contract all during his last season with us. The number of talented youngsters that came through Livi at that time was amazing. Short sighted thinking on the part of those running the club meant we got next to nothing. Then Massone arrived! Aye there have been some fun folk running Livi over the years.

Another 2 international goals for Lyndon Dykes… seems like he was born to play at this level. Couple of decent headers albeit the second one hit his shoulder too.

Yep, just keeps banging them in for Scotland, and still getting these so called football purists saying he's not good enough to play for Scotland, clowns.

Watched the bbc highlights later on, as i hadn't watched the first half, Armstrong missed some great chances and is playing in the same position as Forrest at Hearts, imo Forrest would've scored at least one of those, i'd like to see him getting a call up and replacing Armstrong. Wont happen right enough, not just now anyway, but he's scored 3 goals last week, including one in Europe, so hopefully he keeps on banging in goals for Hearts and gets Clarke's attention.
