Well this weekend didn't exactly go to plan, thought we'd be sitting pretty on 4 points, with Accies, St Mirren & St Johnstone well below us, instead we blow a 2 goal lead, miss a penalty, and both Accies & St Mirren won their games.

Good news is Hearts & Hibs don't look anything special, and as far as I can see only Celtic and Sevco look like teams we'd be lucky to get points from, everyone else is def beatable.

Without Cosgrove Aberdeen are as toothless as anyone else without a striker too, can't believe they thought Main would do a job for them.

Oh and we're undefeated this season, in the cup and the league, so it's not all doom and gloom this weekend.

Btw check out the Hearts pitch, and we got pelters from all quarters last week about ours, Rolling Eyes

Absolutely shocking state, and they say grass is better than artificial pitches, 2nd league game of the season this proves otherwise.

Yeah he blamed it on Keaghan's short pass back to Stewart, think he was trolling after the shite we got about ours but I read from a couple of folk saying it was a bit long (the Livi mascots dad being one).

Being serious though, there are no regulations saying you can't manipulate grass to suit your own tactics, Hearts did it against Celtic last season to stop them being able to pass it around so slickly, and just like plastic, you can water it or leave it dry and sticky during a hot spell in the weather. To say it's just plastic that makes it difficult to pass the ball around slickly is just pish. At least with ours it is always the same length and the bounce is consistent, you just need to get to know it. Tough titties if your players are so thick they can't work out how the ball runs/bounces over 90 mins, same as they have to do on another team's grass pitch

Anyway back to Hearts pitch, can't wait to see what it'll look like by January and beyond.

Yeah, I got the impression he was making a somewhat tongue in cheek gripe about grass.

    St Johnstone 12:15 Rangers

    Celtic 13:00 Kilmarnock

    Hibernian 15:00 Hearts

Goes against the grain but I want both arse cheeks to win today, and also a draw in the Edin derby, that would keep Hearts, St Johnstone and Hibs well below us, and Kilmarnock remaining a point beneath us too. I think that is the best results we can hope for to keep us well above Hearts, Hibs and St Johnstone, and remaining a point above Killie.

Aye, just hope Heckingbottom doesn't get the heave ho before we play them, Levein would've been safe anyway, he's untouchable at Hearts.

Aberdeen getting pumped silly by Celtic, 4-0 HT.

Beggars belief that Aberdeen were up in 3rd & 4th place, still have no idea how we lost to them either, they're absolute guff this season.

Wonder if we're going to be the only Scottish team to beat Celtic this season.

Fuxsake Celtic, had them down as a 5-0 win and thought 4-0 HT they were going to scoring more than 5 goals, took their foot right off the gas and settled for 4-0 the useless plicks.

Goals galore as the HT results come in.

    Saturday 9th November 2019

    Hearts 3-2 St Mirren HT

    Kilmarnock 1-2 Hamilton HT

    Ross County 1-1 Aberdeen HT

    St Johnstone 0-2 Hibernian HT

Some unexpected results in there, Accies 2-0 up then got a red card, Killie scoring in injury time to go in 2-1. you'd think/hope Killie's man advantage will get them at least a draw 2nd half.

RC doing a lot better against Aberdeen this time around too, but reckon the sheep will win by a goal or two.

St Mirren's solid defence has gone out the window as Hearts lead 3-2, hoping for a draw here, so neither close the gap on us too much.

And finally, Hibs and St Johnstone are stick ons for a draw still, Hibs 2-0 HT lead is odds on for them throwing it away, esp the amount of times St Johnstone have managed to come back and get draws from that position,

Ooft Hearts up 4-2 now and Hibs 3-0, looks like sacking their managers has had the usual bounce in results, can't see St Mirren getting 4 goals, they've only scored 7 in 12 games. Think the 3rd goal has prob killed of St Johnstone now too, even for them it looks too big a lead to come back from.

Accies will be lucky to hold out for the draw, as Killie's man adv has got them level, and Aberdeen are now 2-1 ahead, so at least that game is going the way I thought it would.

*edit. 4-0 to Hibs now, def game over for St Johnstone, that wee cheat Allen getting on the score sheet, and Doidge scoring a hattrick.

    Saturday 9th November 2019

    Hearts 5-2 St Mirren FT

    Kilmarnock 2-2 Hamilton FT

    Ross County 1-3 Aberdeen FT

    St Johnstone 1-4 Hibernian FT

    Hearts and Hibs only 2 points & 1 point behind us now, however good results in the other teams that are below us;

St Mirren staying 5 points below us.

    St Johnstone 3 points.

    Accies 2 points.

Just need to get something from tomorrow's game now, piece of piss. Cool

Didn't want to start another thread just for this, so stuck it in here.

Brought a smile/snigger to my face when I read Slippy G was asking for an explanation from Uefa after Morelos wasn't given a 'blatant penalty' in their 2-2 draw with Feyenoord last night. Silly Slippy is that used to being able to manipulate SFA officials he's forgotten that outside of Scotland him and Sevco are an irrelevance, and nobody gives a flying feck about them.

Absolutely love it when they moan about how unfair everything is in Europe, and don't see the irony for them and Celtic having so much of an advantage over the rest of us in Scotland.

Would also love to see his reaction if he had half the bad decisions we've had in games this season, can you imagine him if we'd been given 2 offside goals against Sevco, and he had a player red carded against Hearts when their keeper fouled Morelos dragging him to the ground, or Allen dropping to his knees and getting a penalty against Sevco, and that's only in recent games we've had. He'd be going apeshit in the press.

Killie sacking Alessio means Gary Holt will be one of the names put out in the media as his replacement. Hopefully it will come to nothing, could do without the hassle of getting a replacement that would fit in with our system and management team.

Before Gary thinks about this he should take note of how David Hopkins has fared since he became manager of the team he supports. Morton are now 2nd bottom of the Championship

I have it on good authority that Gary will jump ship at the first opportunity as he wants to be the manager instead of a number 2!!!

Yeah that old chestnut is never going to go away. He's a Killie fan, if they want him he's offski. Whatever the dynamic is at Livi it is working, worked with Hoppy, didn't work with K Miller, worked again with Holt. Quite happy to keep things as they are for as long as possible.

Yeah, so boring...instead of banging on & on about who is really running the show why not give credit where it is due?

Ah but then the old conviction chestnut gets rolled out doesn’t it?

We have just announced a youth set up again too, but it’s all doom & gloom behind the scenes according to some.

Big loss for Accies, Templeton out for 3 months with a serious groin injury, and the young lad that scored the winner against us is also out with a fractured wrist.

Fancied St Mirren for automatic relegation and Accies surviving in 11th, but Templeton is their stand out player, they're going to struggle even more without him.
