Re: Other Premiership Games
Want us to go one better than last season and get 4th place. As good as Hibs are with their strongest XI, they'll struggle when injuries hit them, and the sheep are nothing special. We just need to get Stryjek in goals, and i'd fancy us to push for a European spot.

We'll revisit this at the end of the season and see who's right and who needs medication.

Accies 1-1 Aberdeen FT.
Once again Accies showing you just can't write them off, they aint down and buried yet. Also shows we better get our finger out and not get dragged into a relegation battle with them, if we aren't already in one.

Re: Other Premiership Games
We are already in one... I keep saying we are doing what Hearts did last season & the guys need to realise this but not to panic, do the simple things well, outwork the opposition & see where that takes us, because at the moment they are not doing that. There is still time to get it right.

Re: Other Premiership Games
Wed 23rd Dec Fixtures.
Celtic 18:00 Ross County -Home win
Hamilton 18:00 Livingston -Away win
Hibernian 18:00 St Mirren - Home win
St Johnstone 18:00 Rangers-Away win
Motherwell 8:15 Aberdeen - Away win
Dundee United 18:30 Kilmarnock-Draw
That would be the best outcome for tomorrow imo, and if Motherwell lost by 3 goals and we won by 2 we'd move up to 6th place and open up a gap on the bottom 5 teams. Would also only be a point behind Utd for 5th place.
Killie winning would put us in 5th above Utd too but i'd rather they drew and we moved 3 points ahead of them.
Lets hope it all goes our way tomorrow then.

Re: Other Premiership Games
Yeah Utd beating Killie isn't a shock, Killie look awful, makes it all the more annoying that we lost at home to them, same with Accies, at least we made up for one of those results tonight, need to do the same to Killie next.
Aberdeen never do us a favour, they lost to Accies earlier in the season when we wanted them to win, drawing with Motherwell tonight, useless sheep sh@ggers.
Still a good night for us, every team below us lost, and we closed to just one point on Motherwell.

Re: Other Premiership Games
The early results were good for us, the late results would possibly have been better as draws but if the games were to be won then the results that happened were probably the better combination & Motherwell are starting to look like this season’s Hearts - of course they could turn the corner like we did but they seem to be in free fall just now,
Can’t believe that County won at Fester Road though, I’d have thought Hibs would have picked them off good style with Yogi in charge.

Re: Other Premiership Games
Haven't seen their highlights yet but read they were in Hibs players faces and didn't let them play, very unlike Hughes style and more akin to how we play. Hopefully we get the same result against them on Sat.

Re: Other Premiership Games
Robinson looked even more pissed off than Holt a month or so ago, surprised he hung it out for so long. He did a post match interview long before Holt resigned, saying he would maybe chuck it if things didn't improve, maybe their covid points gave him false hope, and them being suspended till the inquiry
drove it home to him that they were still shite.

Re: Other Premiership Games
Other results all draws except Rangers winning the league (surely even they can’t Stevie-G it now) & Accies pasting ‘Well 3-0 .... they clearly want to be this season’s Hearts.

Re: Other Premiership Games
Heard St Johnstone signed James Brown, think he was a Kenny Miller loan signing from an agent being a pal of his. Iirc he went straight into our team against Celtic and was shite, then Miller got punted and he was shipped off back to whence he came, Wimbledon i think.
Anyway, if that's the calibre of signing St Johnstone are after to get them out a relegation scrap i think they may be fecked.
Also hearing, though this isn't as solid as the Brown one, Tommy Wright has been approached by Motherwell, reckon he'd be just the man to get them out the mire they're in.
Right now it's too close to call which one/two of the bottom 4 is/are going down, they're all pretty much shite. Really hoping it's County though, nothing against them, just can't stand Hughes, and they kind of deserve it for being stupid enough to appoint him their manager.

Motherwell have got Liam Kelly on loan from QPR now, they're turning into a Livi 2nd XI.

Re: Other Premiership Games
Motherwell beating Killie 1-0 makes little difference to us, both are well behind us. St Mirren v Celtic however is of importance, could really do with Celtic getting their act together and winning this game, don't want St Mirren closing the gap on us. They've started the better team though, and Celtic not looking great again.
And just as a typed this Rogic puts Celtic 1-0 up.
Jamie McGrath going off with a shoulder injury for Saints too, things are going well for us here, he's been a big player for them.

Re: Other Premiership Games
2-0 Celtic from a penalty, thank feck, longer it stayed 1-0 i could see St Mirren getting an equaliser, prob in injury time. Should be safe now though, been all Celtic for a while now and the 2 goal cushion being enough to make it game over.
Again never finished typing and Celtic scored again, 3-0 now, wouldn't mind seeing Saints losing heavily to demoralise them. Feck me it's 4-0 now St Mirren collapsing.

Re: Other Premiership Games
2nd half looked like the 2 games a week schedule caught up with St Mirren, looking very tired. Hopefully carries on to their game against Aberdeen on Sat, although a draw would benefit us more. Opening up another 2 points on St Mirren and closing the gap on Aberdeen, providing we win our game against Utd. We should be rested for our trip to Dundee, big weekend coming up for us.

Re: Other Premiership Games
Celtic 1-0 Aberdeen HT
St Mirren 0-0 Hamilton HT
So far so good, would take those results at FT, or Accies to get the win.
