Re: Other Premiership Games
Yep that's St Mirren caught up with their games in hand and are 5 points behind us, massive if we can get a win against them now, even a draw would do to stay 5 points clear.

Re: Other Premiership Games
I’d take a draw to stop the rot... a win would give us a bit of momentum going into the final but given that it’s two “diddy teams” in the final - the classic cliché of “form goes out the window, it’s down to who is better on the day” kicks in... so a draw would definitely do.

Re: Other Premiership Games
Ross County beating Celtic 1-0, with Jordan White scoring their goal.
Big Shagz White is everything JET isn't, runs about giving his all for you, even if he isn't going to score that many goals in the top flight, he at least gives commitment to whoever he's playing for. Read DM shouted at JET for being a lazy big b@stard not getting into position to get the ball 2 mins after coming on. As funny as that is, it's him picking JET when Poplatnik is getting splinters sitting on the bench.
That result has really opened things up down the bottom of the league, Killie aren't looking too clever now, and even Motherwell could be in danger.

Re: Other Premiership Games
No league games for us with the cup final weekend, but some St Mirren games i'll be keeping an eye on, they've Motherwell tomorrow and Ross County on Sat, both home games.
They've only drawn at home in their last 2 games, drew & lost away in the 2 before that, so maybe not in a good run themselves just now.
Motherwell are keech though so bit worried they'll win that game, County are looking tougher opposition though, so could see them losing that game. Hoping they don't pick up more than 1 or 2 points, which would see us in a great position, 3 or 4 ahead with 2 games in hand.
Utd have also got Killie away, wouldn't mind seeing a draw there.
It's all in our own hands but always good seeing the teams around us dropping points, just to make things a bit more comfortable for us.

Re: Other Premiership Games
Bummer, we hadn't lost a game against Celtic at the TMA since Lennon was appointed their manager, got our first ever win against them too, and drew twice at Celtic park.
Don't think Hibs beat us under him either, any chance of him going to Aberdeen now.

St Mirren 0-0 Motherwell FT.
So far so good, a draw or a County win on Sat now.

Re: Other Premiership Games
Celtic 1 up against Aberdeen
Hibs losing by 2 to Motherwell
Killie & United level
StM & Ross level
All of which are not bad for us - still about 10 mins left as I post

Greg Aitken in dodgy penalty award shocker. Aunt even manages to feck us over when not officiating our game, giving our nearest rivals 3 dodgy points.orco wrote:Bertie Bassett wrote:And no sooner had I posted than a massive change... St Midden scored

Re: Other Premiership Games
St Johnstone beating Hibs & our defeat at Fir Park reduces the goal difference to 5 in our favour.
Their last game is at home to Ross Co while we have Accies & Hibs at home... with shockingly low confidence.
St Johnstone will win against Ross but I’m not convinced we will get anything from our two games. I think the combination of results will mean St Johnstone going above us.
St Mirren meanwhile end at home to Accies... they will win that.
Bottom 6 here we come

I'd say Celtic are dominating this game, but are useless at scoring.

So that’s United out of the equation.
Over to you Livi, get the necessary point next Saturday & lest us all relax

Re: Other Premiership Games
0-0 FT.
That's Utd out of the top 6 contention, and Sevco are officially Champions.
Going to make the last 5 games after the split interesting, with both Sevco and Celtic nothing left to play for, could get a few surprising results against them, well in Celtic's case maybe not that surprising, they've been dodgy all season, but can see Sevco losing their first league game in the Premiership now.

Re: Other Premiership Games
A few fireworks went off down my way in Livingston when Celtic drew their game, at last there's something good about the Covid restrictions, would've been a lot of drunken huns wandering the streets singing their party songs coming back late at night from the boozers.

McInnes has been sacked by Aberdeen I believe.... “agreed to leave after growing pressure from supporters”.

Re: Other Premiership Games
Aye victim of his success, he was the longest serving manager in the Premiership, kept Aberdeen up there in and around the European places, esp when Sevco 2012 was in the lower leagues, getting them 2nd place a few times. Think the fans will regret getting bored of him, thinking they should be as good as the erse cheeks, with a fraction of the budget those two have.
That's fans for you though, they soon get used to success, and want even more, ours are already thinking we're a top 6 team by right, and will want Martindale punted as soon as we don't finish there, or will prob think we're a top 4 team by right next season.
I don't envy McInnes' replacement, he's got a lot to live up to, and there'll be big expectations put on his shoulders.

Talk of Aberdeen bringing in Stephen Glass and Scott Brown to take over the managerial positions at Pittodrie.

Not Premiership but thought it was interesting anyway, and concerns a ref that is an old friend of ours. Greg Aitken sent off 3 QotS players today, must've been confused and thought they were Livingston players.

Actuaully dreading getting him in the remaining games, especially at home. But hes now out of the equesion regarding our aspirations. But having said that, if we are to catch Aberdeen.
