Nice write up of his stats, doesn't mention the 2 og's in recent games.

The steady center half served as captain for Scottish club Livingston, appearing in 27 matches with a pair of strikes – including a penalty kick conversion in his debut in 2013.

It's disappointing how he wasn't able to build on from his form from last season but I think the injury done in his confidence when he returned earlier this season. He was certainly the missing link when we lacked any visible leadership before his arrival. I expect the likes of Talbot, O'Brien and Gallagher to provide the organisation/leadership skills needed to climb up the table.

As long as we don't lose Gallagher either through a (highly unlikely, but still) transfer or injury, then that'll be a massive confdence boost. We can't afford having the Fordyce-Sives bombscare partnership again after what happened when they were paired earlier this season.

Yep, either Sives or Dycey playing beside Gallagher is fine, both have done ok as long as they aren't playing together as CB's.

Gallagher was at fault for a few loose passes and losing the ball which set up several chances for Dumbarton, generally he's been solid though.

Their season doesn't start until April so that could be the case, either leaving us just before our season ends or just after theirs starts.

Callum Carson from WLC was talking about it earlier on Twitter, Bertie. FWIW, I think Mensing'll be off, apparently we're wanting to free up his wage to bring others in.

Also heard Pittman is practically a done deal, by all accounts a good player but prone to the odd misdemeanour now and again. Hopefully getting given the change in professional football again will give him a wee jolt in the right direction.

If the club and Burchill are saying he's staying then it wouldn't surprise me if the article put out by these American fannies is totally misleading. Would tend to agree with EL on the PCA, and they've just not mentioned it because they're American, and Americans aren't footballing people.

If he still our player & non one has heard from the Silverbacks then the club ought to report them for tapping up the player or at the very least talk to the Silverbacks & perhaps Mensing himself.

All seems very strange....also, if it is a PCA why does LFC not just admit that instead of denying any contact?

Can't be a PCA until the end of his contract which I believe is sometime in June? If they want him to move early (someone said their season starts in April so would probably want him in the squad at least a month before that) then he's under contract to us and a fee should be due.

PCA's can only start after the end of a current contract and, as it was shown with Elliott, has no contractual basis anyway.

A PCA can be signed if the player has 6 or less months left on their current contract, Mensing has 4. If it is a PCA that he's signed then the Silverback's statement is a bit misleading...

Yes but what I was meaning is that it can't have been used if they wanted Mensing there at the start of their season.

So if it was "rubber stamped" today, that means that someone somewhere must have been talking about it before today... so all that "We haven't had anyone talking to us about Mensing" was a bunch of baloney.
