Or it could have been negotiated between Mensing's agent and Atlanta before approaching Livingston - hence the announcement made by Atlanta and the surprise expressed by the club at the news.

It would also explain the "left by mutual consent" comment by the club implying the guy asked to leave rather than a formal approach being made by another club.

Is he a CB to replace Mensing?

Was hoping for a RB but see he's 6ft 2 so prob a CB.

A lot of our players also started following Bayan Fenwick but he never signed. Which probably means that Cole is training with us at the least, not sure how I'd feel about him signing, part of the Morton defence that got slaughtered week in week out last season albeit he only joined in January...

A pal at my old work is friends with him and he was saying McCoist had enough of him because of his attitude and fitness. While MacLeod was doing 10k runs between the end of the 2012/13 season and pre-season, Cole was doing golf holidays and Ibiza and came back with similar stamina levels to Black, Daly and McCulloch.

Having looked at his twitter he seems more interested in "big brother" than anything else - am surprised that anyone gives a #### about big brother now - he obviously also looks out for the rangers as well.

Would make the pre season training a lot tougher on you if you don't try and keep up some level of fitness but doubt it is compulsory when you're on holiday, just sensible.

He's played for Scotland at all age levels so must have talent, from what I'm reading here he sounds like one of those guys who let it go to his head and thought he'd made it without having to put in the work, have to trust Burchill to suss him out though, it's his ass on the line if he signs a player and it doesn't work out.

Callum Carson now tweeting that we've failed in bids to sign Jason Scotland + Raffa Da Vita, but that Scott Pittman will sign later today.

Gutted about this.. also means that we've 13 first team midfielders now (if you include Glen who's been playing back there) when it's our defence and strikers lacking!

Scotland is back at Accies and DeVita signed for Ross County.

Ibra looked promising from the little I saw of him, hopefully Mullen and White will keep on scoring. The midfielders need to chip in with more too though, Keaghan showed what he's capable of when he takes a shot at goal.

His Twitter is the biggest load of fuck anyone has ever read surely? All he's interested in is shagging (but failing), clubbing and the huns. He seems like an absolutely massive wank.

Cole tried chatting up my then-girlfriend in a hairdressers in Broxburn a few years back. Started giving it the "I'm a professional footballer..." patter. Don't think this was too long after he'd played for Rangers in the Champions League, clearly went to his head.

Fair to say his career's took a total doing ever since. I'm certain he played in Morton's 10-2 demolition by Accies at the end of last season - ouch.

Scott Pittman confirmed. Apparently there were 3 other SPFL clubs after him, wonder if it's anyone decent or teams like Elgin.

Interesting to see the squad list on the official site has Scott Pittman down as a forward. Everyone else seems to think of him as an attacking midfielder.

Wouldn't say Glen was a forward either but that's what he's listed as. Hippo looks better as a wide player rather than a forward too. Prob only White who is being played as an out and out forward as Mullen tends to drop deep and play from midfield most of the time.
