Re: Transfer Rumours
The Sun are saying we're targeting Mickael Antoine-Curier as a potential signing.

Its defenders we need particularly if Talbot does get hit with a lengthy ban.

Re: Transfer Rumours
Well he'd def keep us up, big beast of a goal scorer at this level. Even coming on as a sub he'd score, think he gets a lot of goals near the end of a game when defenders aren't as sharp.

Re: Transfer Rumours
MAC won't sign for us, he's got offers from Premiership clubs and I doubt we can compete with their wage offers. Few trialists in today for the bounce game apparently so maybe get a new face or two in soon.

Yeah I saw this on Twitter about 5 minutes after I posted about The Sun rumour. Absolute pish as always from Murdoch's mob.

Apparently we beat Motherwell 4-1 in a bounce game & a "triallist" striker scored 2 of them...according to the Lion's Den anyway

I'll pish my pants with laughter if it was Riordan.

Apparently 3 trialists played but none are likely to be signed.

That would be hilarious if he came on as a sub and scored the winner against them on Saturday.

Would make an interesting sub, def has quality about him and has a goal or two in him too. All down to attitude though as he's wasted his talent through the years.

Re: Transfer Rumours
Darren Cole and Derek Riordan played for the U-20s last night in a 1-1 draw against Raith. Riordan was invisibile in the second half and contributed nothing, doesn't look match fit either. Cole started off being a moany bitch but looked comfortable with the ball at his feet and has a decent range of passing. Don't think I would take either though as we've got a settled squad and Sives in particular has came in and formed a solid partnership with Gallagher.
Jack Cook and Darren Moffat played last night. Cook looks really good as a CB and Moffat was playing as a holding midfielder rather than at RB. He's got a great range of passing and isn't afraid to put in a tackle, hopefully we see the two of them next season depending on what league we're in.
Pittman, Rutherford and Glen all started too. No show for Beaumont or Hippolyte which could mean something for Saturday.
Also, Liam Fox and Jimmy Scott played for Raith.

I read on another forum Donaldson played at RB too, looked good in his first game since his injury.

Re: Transfer Rumours
We're really lucky to have him according to this: http://www.livingstonfc.co.uk/news/news_20150220_1.php
Can play in any position in defence so gives us cover at the back, will reserve judgement till I see him play.

He's a natural right back so hopefully that'll let us get a settled back 4 now. Im excited by it as a friend of mine has seen him play a few times and really rates him. Hopefully being released by morton after his injury has made him screw the head a bit

Re: Transfer Rumours
Trialist scored and set up 2 for EF tonight, think it was Riordan. That's 2 goals for them now, maybe we should sign him as he's still a trialist for them. Couldn't do any harm as we're fecking shite at scoring goals and desperately need a goal scorer.

Re: Transfer Rumours
Much as I dislike him, he has ability & can bring assists & goals to a team. Especially in the lower leagues. And while it is the lowest tier that he is currently scoring in I suspect he would be better at both assisting & scoring than anyone in our current line up.

Rory Boulding played for the Development side in their 3-2 defeat to Cowdenbeath tonight.
Riordan signs for EF. We must really have no money whatsoever.

Re: Transfer Rumours
Boulding's played for 9 clubs and we're the only one he's scored more than 2 goals for, but I'd still be happy with him if he picked up where he left off before he left. We're desperate at the moment and that's shown by some wanting us to sign Riordan.
He seems like a bit of a dick but if we had the money I wouldn't mind even just a deal to the end of the season if he can ressurect the purple patch he had with us.

Re: Transfer Rumours
By all accounts Riordan seems to know he's in last chance saloon, two goals against Motherwell in a bounce game isn't exactly the best barometer of current form but he would be head and shoulders above any of our current forwards. Perplexing that EF have been able to offer him a deal whereas we weren't; I'm sure Riordan would've took a pay as you play deal with us. Makes Boulding being here even more bizarre considering he will (I presume) not be on absolute pennies.

Hasn't had a deal has he? He was good for us once he started being fed by McNulty at every opportunity. That won't happen now in the current team. Mullen is already better than him at creating chances and finding a way through on goal. If he want's to play for nothing to put himself back on the market then I'd think about putting him on the bench; but only think about it.
Real shame we missed out of De Vita (sp) actually; probably couldn't afford him anyway but he certainly had what it took
