Thought that but it seems from looking at it that the boy thinks he's first team.  Also the fact we can't even re-sign current players made me question the youth thing.

Thought we had extended at least one of our under-19 boys can't remember if it was Currie or one of the other lads though.

Can support who he wants as long as he scores goals for us.

Thought we'd have had good news on the signing embargo being lifted by now, getting impatient for us to start getting some moves on building a team for this season.

Bit over the top; about 40% of school kids in this country probably say they support one of the old firm (or whatever they're called now that rangers got recreated).

Wishing the boy ill because he says he supported celtic or the rangers or Hibs or hearts for that matter is going to trim down our potential recruitment base considerably.

This young lad's signed as a lion and that's all that's important to me; if the fact that he's presumably anti the rangers and is prepared to put in that extra effort against them then so much the better. Celtic aren't in the same league as us and the chances of getting drawn against them in one of the two cups is probably fairly slim so I don't see that it matters. Personally I'd be more concerned if he said he was the rangers or Hibs daft.

Just noticed these 3 posts on Livi Lions Forum -
"I was speaking to the girls on reception yesterday as we renewed our ST's....it would seem the paperwork showing proof of Rankine's shares being transferred were sent to the SFA on Friday. There is no longer a single majority shareholder. Don't know what the implications of that are going forward or who the new shareholders are. GMcD had just left as we arrived so unable to speak to him; not sure how forthcoming he would be anyway

    Read more: http://livifc.boards.net/thread/925/time-change?page=2#ixzz3btl7Jw3O

The new shareholders are Neil Hogarth and Graham Leslie. 20% each. Presumably Neil is from Braidwood Motor Co?
A search on Graham Leslie doesn't turn up any obvious candidates, who is he?

I can't stand use of the "C" word. I don't suppose you would consider not using it here. I like reading Livi forums but if that word becomes the norm I will no be back, as they say.

Substituting the c with an a might be more acceptable for Orco Lexi, another board I use does that as they have a swear filter, you're an ok aunt Lexi. Wink

Or maybe EL should put in a swear filter, would be esp useful when Lexi has had a few and comes on to vent his anger after a duff Livi performance. Laughing

Mrs LF hates that word being used too Orco, though the Dundee folks use of it with an o on the end is often a term of endearment, Dundee Barry's spoof blog about Jocky's jet pack used it quite a lot and was a great and amusing read.

It's a generation thing, loads of people my age use it purely as an adjective. Got a text this afternoon from a mate saying "What c*nts are up for the Saltire for the CL final?" It's a pretty bad word, but it's so commonly used these days...can't guarantee I'll stop using it on here I'm afraid. Even at home games I shout it at least 3 times a match. My mate and I have been told off by some old darling sitting behind us about 5 times lol!

I genuinely think that's why everyone has gradually moved away from where we sit...we're surrounded by empty seats lol!

STV article saying we've sent a lawyers letter to the SFA askng for the embargo to be lifted.

    http://sport.stv.tv/football/1322220-neil-rankine-sells-livingston-shares-as-club-call-for-embargo-lift/

The club have claimed that Rankine's 50% shareholding in Livingston 5 Limited, which is the owner of the club, has been divided between three men: Neil Hogarth, Graham Leslie and Robert Wilson.

The bit about there being no public record of the shares being sold could be why the SFA hasn't lifted the embargo, don't know how long it takes to be put on public record though.

The previous business interests of Leslie, and his connection to the club, are unknown. There is currently no public record showing the transfer of shares has taken place.

I am heartily sick of our club being hammered. Ok Rankine filled in misleading information about his dual interest on a form submitted to the SFA? SPFL? But there has never been involvement with East Fife let alone give us any advantage. Contrast that to Rangers and Mike Ashley parachuting players in to help them out. He got a fine which to him would be a couple of pounds to us.
Do they never think about the fans who have invested heavily in their club for years and are being punished yet again for having dodgy owners. We will have no club if this ban is not lifted. What if Rankine can't sell the shares? Where does that leave us?
The punishment is out of all proportion to the crime. The club is not Rankine. I say it is above all the fans and the players who have done nothing wrong other than support it over the years. Sad

The guys that cause these problems always move on and the club is hit with sanctions/punishments for the new guys to deal with, and so it goes on. As you say Orco, the fans supporting the team are the ones who suffer most and are putting their money into football year after year.

The governing bodies haven't helped in the slightest either, they sit back allowing clubs to get into trouble and take great delight in hitting them with fines instead of doing something constructive to help them out. Feckers make financial problems for clubs with stupid 10K seater rules then hammer them for going into admin. About time they actually looked for ways to make the clubs life easier instead of picking up their fat wages for sitting on their fat arses doing sod all.

They were quick enough to lift Sevco's embargo allowing McCoist to fill his squad with SPL quality players in the 3rd div to give him a 'competitive chance' before putting it back on again.

3 senior players contracted as we suspected. The other few signed must be youth guys.

In addition, I've added c*** to the swear filter after the suggestion. Also changed Raith  Rovers to raif to reflect Lexi's vocabulary better.

I believe Livi 5 is not a PLC and as such change of ownership should be recorded under company records with Companies House. My experience is several years out of date but previously they could take 3 month or longer to update their records and in some cases it wouldn't appear until the next registration of accounts.

With this in mind I would hope that copies of the sale transaction and confirmation from the solicitors, who handled the transaction, would be sufficient.

Dunfermline. Jesus Christ. If you didn't laugh at this you'd greet.

If the signing ban is lifted, Burchill will need to pull the proverbial rabbit or 15 out of the hat. Not even through the second week of June and we already look likely to finish bottom, unreal. Can't believe the power struggle involving the total bastards running the club will see us out on our arses.

Oh dear. Evil or Very Mad

Still think he'd have done a good job for us next season, got to wonder what kind of player Burchill is looking to replace him with, least you knew what you had with Talbot and for the most part we were happy with him.

Was the same last season but this time it looks even worse as we have only 3 contracted players and a transfer embargo stopping us signing any more, so we don't even know what level of player Burchill is looking at bringing in.

Not looking good at all, no continuity usually means too many changes for us to be settled and start the season well. Another season of the dog fight down the bottom beckons, really could do without this embargo pish so we can see who we're signing.
