Foxy has signed up Burton O'Brien for Cowden, he's getting the old band together, wonder if big Marv will be next.

Big Shags is in the hospital with a blood problem, will be out for at least 2 months.

Wonder if it's septicemia, remember we signed a player from Hibs and he was out for a while with that.

Good luck to him, maybe he'll manage Scotland one day and get us out of the rut we're in.

Does this thread include players that were on loan to us?

Kakay made his first team debut for QPR and got rave reviews, played on the wing. Wasn't that great with us but he's only 19 so still a young player that has potential right enough, looked good in the first game he played for us against Dumbarton. Maybe he'll change position and play wide in midfield, his defensive work didn't look very good when he was at Livi.

Thought he showed promised when in an up-front position. Not so impressive when playing in defence to be honest

    Good luck to him

Quintessential modern day English footballer - can run really fast, just not with the ball.

Good luck to the boy but to say I was shocked when I seen he was playing the other night is an understatement.

McNulty has gone on loan to Bradford now, good move for him, they're sitting 2nd in the league. Seems strange going on loan to a club higher up in the same division as his team, he'd be better moving to another club though, Sheffield keep putting him out on loan.

Is Adkins still in charge? If so he clearly doesn't rate him. In a way I'm a wee bit surprised that Cloughie Jnr hasn't gone in for them as they both did well for him.

You always felt he was going to save a penalty, wonder when it'll be that he saves one from a Livi player, bound to happen. Laughing

Good luck to him anyway, he's still pretty young in goal keeper years, hope he does well and moves onto a bigger club than Accies.

Looks like Scougall's breaking into the first team and got some praise for his attitude from the Sheff Utd assistant manager a few days ago: http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-united/sheffield-united-stefan-scougall-s-attitude-is-what-all-blades-players-should-strive-to-copy-1-8093723

Tony Andreu on loan at Dundee United too, he'll tear that league a new arsehole.

Thing is Scougall was pretty much a regular under Cloughie and the Blades fans loved him and McNulty was their top scorer in his first season.

I hope it works out for both of them.

Good move for Andreu, he's too good for our second tier but not quite up to English second tier. Gets him back playing and possibly get a move to the top tier or promotion with the Arabs which might get him back to what he was before Alex Neil took him to Norwich

Seems a strange move for Accies but I can't see him starting unless they are struggling for a keeper.
Good luck to him tho, agree with Troy's assessment.

Snoddy bags a hat trick for Scotland and played well throughout.

Good to see him performing well on the international stage; and before anyone says it was only Malta; recently they have only lost by the odd goal to Croatia, Italy and Austria; and we have struggled to beat them in the past.

About fecking time he got a decent chance for Scotland, though who knows with Strachan, he might not play him when we're up against England. Gave up on the ginger gnome twat giving Griffiths a game.

Apparently Griffiths was getting the start but got injured and couldn't play.

What annoyed me was Strachan was asked a direct question about Snoddy and simply answered "Yes" and then spoke about James Forrest who played about 20 minutes and faded after 5 of those and then even more about Barry McKay who didn't even play!

Tony Andeu bagged a brace at East End Park in a 3-1 win for Dundee United... But the real hero was keeper Cammy Bell who had a hat trick of penalty saves in the 1st half!!!

Never heard of a keeper making 3 penalty saves in the 90 minutes of normal time, must've been something else for the Utd fans watching it. Was from 3 different players too and two hit to his right and the last to his left.

Andreu will be the difference in them going up this season, reckon they'll win the play offs with him.

Still pisses me off that we let him go.

Aye, we could have given him a new contract and then sold him with sell ons.

Aye, pretty amazing day for Bell. Can't think of anything to match it in terms of pen saves during a match. Can't believe it wasn't highlighted more, didn't even notice Radio Scotland saying anything about it as we drove home from the game.

    Dave Mackay retires - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37372673

No danger, he's the best RB we've had since we got relegated from the SPL and he last played for us 7 years ago. I don't watch that league but I kept reading he was one of the most consistent defenders in that league whether it was at RB or CB. He'll easily go down as a St Johnstone legend considering he was their captain when they won the Scottish Cup.
